Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut. I cannot wait to see this one. Based on a true life serial killer it promises to be chilling (I hope!). Anna also stars in it. I’m a fan of many (not all) her work, so for those who appreciate her talent, fingers crossed!

Speak No Evil (2024)
I had my doubts about this remake, but James McAvoy’s maniacally crisp villain keeps the viewer uncomfortably hooked. This version is quite different than the absolute passively dangerous 2022 version, but again, it is James McAvoy’s complete mastery of his character that makes it work. Both versions are good, and deserve appreciation. The 2022 version, however, had an outstanding cast all around that conveyed discomfort, terror and helplessness that this version lacks. This version is James’ credit. He kept it entertainingly lascivious and psychotic.

Oh man this was a disaster. Todd Philips shoulda just ended with the first one. In a different way this felt like what Disney did to Star Wars. Gonna be tough for me to watch anything with a Joker storyline now. Yuck.
There has to be more of the joker, just better written, better produced and a lot more imagination, like the first. And any future producer must stipulate that the only music being the intro and outro of the film. LOL

I had an up planned high risk pregnancy at the age of 37. A year younger than this woman. They didn’t tell me to get my affairs in order blah blah blah. It doesn’t happen like that in real life sometimes they go a little too far on the dramatics and reminds me that much of this is scripted. Oh well I still love this show anyway.

Why just why nobody was asking for a special from this show and nobody is asking or Warner Bros Pictures and HBO Max to release however many more episodes that they have banked and ready to go and the very fact that it took them until a few fays before the specials release to release the trailer just goes to show that nobody at the studio has any more faith in the Velma TV series.

It was really good, especially for a pilot! Cheesy, the right amount of humor, slightly dark. I REALLY hope you are wrong; though I fear you might be right. It reminds me of Backstrom and what a crime it was that got cancelled.
But being on a major network and having Kaitlin Olsen is hopefully enough to really get it going. Given how much was set up, it would be a shame if it goes no where.

Despite veryone hating on this one, I did enjoy it very much. The very beginnig was not so great, but after 20 minutes, oh man :D It had this 80’s feel, it had some allusions to an original Alien, to Aliens, and last 15 minutes were like wtf in a good way. So overall thumbs up from me!

season 5 is moving to peacock, no official premier date, they moved it primarily because its highest viewer numbers reflect it is watched on peacock even though its was delayed. so it will air on thursday peacock when it returns, and also why “found” was moved to their original slot. got impression it won’t start till after the 2 law n order shows end season. but not confirmed
