Probably don’t want to watch news of any type then. Considering that men are responsible for over 89 percent of all crimes and an even higher percent of violent crimes, this might not be a bad idea.

GeminiSaga -1 points 1 month ago.

That is true, and women birthed and raised 99% of these violent criminals.

Grillo, Bateman, Hope Davis, Paula Patton, Riseborough, Skaarsgard & more all play out the story of isolation seeking genuine, tangible & actual human communion without technocratic toxic nonsense inserting itself.

Worth it for the cars alone. GMC conversion vans, AMC’s, convertible Pontiacs, Firebirds, various Chevelle eras from muscle forward, MOPAR, Cutlass’s & other Oldsmobiles… Also Slayer Show No Mercy tour shirt. Loved Priest. Saw most every tour, even club tours with Tim Ripper Owens. Still have my barbed wire from the Defenders tour - and the permanent tinnitus from the Screaming For Vengeance tour. Guitar heaven.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man (2024)
~Dime~ 3 points 1 month ago.

This honestly was a really good movie, and a great take on Hellboy. I am a long time fan of the Comics. Don’t get me wrong. The original two were pretty good movies, though they did not really scream Hellboy. The last film… meh. But this one. You can tell the people who wrote and directed it are fans. I can tell you I will be buying this when it comes out for sure. Easy 4 stars from me.

Thanks. I waited for the HD release. Glad I waited. I enjoyed it. Everything I expected it to be. Bob took it over the top. Thanks Bob! I’m sure some little glip glop sand worms will down-vote my comment but to me it felt like the prefect sequel to the original movie. What were the clowns hating on it even expecting? Star Trek? MacArthur Park forever.

I thought so too before epi 1 but after epi 2 I’m hooked, this is WAY BETTER than Elsbeth hands down, I tried to like that one but it was just too silly stupid IMO smh. This one I feel has High Potential lol ;)

DangerousEnigma 1 points 1 month ago.

Wow! Interesting how books and TV can be such unique experiences for different people! I really prefer Elsbeth. I like the format of the viewer already knowing the guilty party; Makes it kinda neat to see how the “clues” unfold. Both are lightweight cop procedural with some quirk, like @TisOnlyMe said below. And I will still watch, as it’s a good filler show!

The Deliverance (2024)

I’ve been waiting for to come out too, ever since Zac bagans bought the house & made his docu movie demon house. The story & history behind this family is incredibly creepy. I remember watching something where someone was trying to interview the family or do a show on them but they couldn’t bc they had already agreed to this film. after watching im surprised by the direction this went. overall still worth a watch if you know the story.

played by Eddie Redmayne whom I’m sorry but menacing assassin? he is not and the person supposed to take him down? honestly how do these things get even greenlit?

BubbaPharm.com 1 points 1 month ago.

I think it’ll be easy for Redmayne to play a sociopath. He’s great at being emotionless, yet interesting. Steely-eyed killer is right up his alley.

I didn’t like Edward Fox that much in the 1973 version, so I get when an actor doesn’t work for you. I read the book, so the 1973 movie was accurate, but kind of dragged.

Bruce Willis was a bit too charismatic to be the Jackal (1997)l, but I enjoyed the pacing a little more, and John Malkovich. They totally didn’t follow the book and the ending was cliche.

While we’re waiting for the release, Michael Fassbender really nails the professional assassin trope in “The Killer”.

Yeah this stunk. Keaton was great but the rest was a mismatch of about 4 stories. Like they couldn’t figure which to go with so they chose em all. And Jenna Ortega had the same story line with the boyfriend as she did in Wednesday. Ah well…

I really like this show. I’m on ep. 2 and want to just binge it all night, but I have too much to do. It’s one of those shows where you want to scream at the screen “Look at - this person - for God’s sake. What is wrong with you?” It’s like the rules of who is suspect don’t even apply here.

“Inspired”…well we all know what THAT means. For all the fans of author Robert McCammon and the novels we loved to read by the guy back in the 80ies/90ies era (“Stinger” and “Swan Song” were my top favorites)? Get ready to be MAJORLY disappointed and get ready for a lousy Gen Z trash adaptation

I cannot for the life of me understand why people find this show so top-notch. It’s just ordinary and for sure is nothing new and baffles me to no end as to why it’s gotten so much praise… Not to mention some of the women’s, including and especially the main characters hair is so ridiculously unkempt, as if it’s not been washed or combed in days… gee whiz.

I’ve tried several times to get into this series and my mind kept drifting off out of boredom.. Then finally, third times charm I guess.. I got into it and really enjoyed it..I watched it up to date and can’t wait for the next show to become available.

“Imagine if Peaky Blinders were set in the world of illegal boxing in Victorian London. That’s exactly what the show’s creator Steven Knight has been writing, and the new series is coming to Disney Plus in 2025. A Thousand Blows features a stellar cast and promises to be vibrant as well as violent. Sugar Goodson, a legendary boxer will be played by Stephen Graham.” I look forward to this new drama and Graham is such a versatile actor too.

Piglet 2 points 1 month ago*.

Sometimes it is the least person you expect to be the bad guy and that can be to their advantage. I really disliked Roger Moore as James Bond; he looked rather soft for such a powerful character. So, I get where you’re coming from but at least give Redmayne a chance because I am. Did you watch the trailer?

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024)
Yurocalling 2 points 1 month ago.

not much to type but this movie was just baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad! I had my expectations low but wow this was bad. it seriously didn’t need to be made, like Trainspotting Two, they should’ve just left this alone. and its not the actors fault who all did great, just a terrible script. Clevergems typed all that needed to be typed about this film. avoid it all costs if you can.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024)
Harthal 3 points 2 months ago.

It was alright. There was a little too much going on and the pacing was kinda weird. When it was over it felt like nothing actually happened. Zero stakes or investment. Another movie that I wouldn’t be surprised was written by AI. Keaton is great as Beetlejuice though and I loved Dafoe’s character. Monica Bellucci felt kinda thrown in and had very few lines. (apparently she’s Tim Burton’s partner, so makes sense why she was shoehorned in). Winona was… there. Jenna Ortega, can’t complain.
I’m guessing the audience is kids though so I’m sure they would enjoy it and not think too much about it.

Yurocalling 4 points 1 month ago.

I feel bad for the kids if this was what the movie was aimed that, this was…..bad for all the reasons you just listed.

The Day of the Jackal (2024)
Arcangel2020 -4 points 1 month ago.

“Day of The Jackal” the series? As if this one specifically hasn’t been done already..the original movie called “Day of the Jackal”, then there was the cheesy BAD “Jackal” which had Bruce Willis and Richard Gere (doing a REALLY bad Irish accent). Now we get a whole new series that’s been errrrrr…ummm “reimagined” for The Gen Z Crowd. Right. Got it. LOL
