Martin Short kills me, fobl, what a character, nothing like him.
I saw The Martins on Maher last night and they were hilarious!
What a surprisingly great show. I’m so glad I gave it a chance. I was just kinda bored and figured “eh, why not?” Got hooked quickly and watched half the season in one sitting. I thought it was pretty funny, and it kept me on my toes until the very end. A bit reminiscent of the movie Clue, in a good way.
Have you ever begrudgingly watched something out of boredom and, the more you watched the more you liked it? That was this show. I kinda wanted to hate it but just couldn’t. And now I’m anticipating Season 2.
Such an entertaining show, it’s great to see Steve Martin and Martin Short back on the TV screen again!
Quirky and fun, good first ep, look forward to see how it develops :))x

Stumbled over the show saw Martin n Steve, (Father of the Bride, Three Amigos)
i had to check it out, not a Selena fan, but her acting seems to fit in well,
but the cameos was what got me really hooked,
cant wait to see who pops in next season,

This is brilliant. I only started watching because of Martin Short and Steve Martin, but Selena Gomez really surprised me with how good she is. This is the first time I ever saw her on anything, I only heard about her and honestly, I was negatively prejudiced. But it turns out she is an amazing actress. I binged the whole thing in a day, and I am already hungry for more.
Great cast looking forward to it.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that thinks so. I watched the first season of this show but passed on continuing thanks to horrific lack of any acting talent of Ms Gomez. She really couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag.
Is this the only thing you’ve ever seen her in? Try watching some of her other stuff. This is just her character on here. She’s actually a very good actress — and singer.
Nope, never seen her b4 and never heard her sing. But this is the first time in my entire life that I’ve stopped watching a show because the actor was so cringeworthy and I’m no spring chicken. Too many other shows to watch, I won’t waste my time not enjoying this one.
That’s o.k., you do you, but she’s an A-lister in Hollywood, very well respected, and very active in charities. She’s been acting since she was 6,. I believe. Guess you didn’t have kids or were a kid during that time, but she was one of the Disney kids along with Miley Cyrus.
So it’s not her acting you don’t like, it’s her character. I’ve stopped watching shows because one character just annoyed the hell out of me. It happens.
Well I just watched about 30 seconds of her in a music video and she’s just rolling around the floor like a porn star, a sure sign that she has no real talent in the singing dept. either. I’ll stick to watching talented people, no need to make my eyes bleed.

Just as I don’t care what you think, we all have a right to our own opinion. Just because someone is an “a-lister”, famous, or rich doesn’t mean necessarily that they have any talent. Also doesn’t mean they aren’t scum, see Diddy and all his “a-lister” pals.
Let me preface this by saying that everyone is entitled to their opinion on someone’s acting prowess.
That said, her character is meant to be the STRAIGHT straight man to Steve’s straight man and Martin’s comic relief.
She also struggles with Lupus..
Not liking her acting or music is fine; implying she is scum is a bit out of line. Comparing her to Diddy is a false equivalency.
Nope, didn’t say that, the point was that because someone is rich, beautiful and famous has nothing to do with their talent or character or anything else. Lots of people that have those attributes are neither admirable or good people. Also, Gomez WAS one of the hundreds that hung with Diddy and she dated Bieber who considered Puff as his “mentor”. So yeah, not a false equivalency.
For someone who previously claimed to know nothing about her, you now “know” quite a bit about her.
It is painfully obvious you did a cursory google search and just went with the first thing you saw.
Firstly, Gomez never hung out with Diddy. It has never even been claimed that she did. Secondly, her and Bieber were kids/teenagers when they dated. Not that it matters anyway because, thirdly, Bieber is a victim of Diddy. He was like 13 when Diddy signed him, bought him a Lamborghini, and invited him around his house. On a timeline that has been proven when “freak offs” were taking place.
Bieber was a child, could not consent to anything that happened if he was present at a freak off, making him a VICTIM.
So please stop talking about things you know nothing about. If you don’t like her because of her acting abilities that is your right. But it is grossly negligent to spread false lies and again, make false equivalencies.
Hate to break it to you but these guys are now in their 30s so it’s long past the time to call them victims. You have no idea what they saw or participated in but they have both been named along with many others. Course they will use their riches to pay off the authorities just like all the other famous people that have been named, many have already lawyered up and deleted accounts to attempt to hide their associations now that the hammer is coming down. Most will get off because our justice system isn’t really blind.

What a disgustingly vile thing to say. The passage of time does not negate the trauma of a victim, especially of a child.
The fact that you think a 15 year old kid who got taken in by a sexual predator, given a multi million dollar record deal, and didn’t bite the hand that fed him, because again HE WAS A CHILD, should somehow be held accountable for what Diddy did speaks volumes to how ignorant you are about not only this sad situation, but to the world at large.
Instead you spout the usual “rich people pay off authorites” etc etc while ignoring the fact that Diddy is literally sitting in jail right now. And on top of that victim blaming a kid who just so happens to now be an adult.
For the record, neither Gomez or Bieber have been named as participating in “freak offs”.

Also didn’t say he wasn’t a victim only that as an adult he should have spoken out, all those that did nothing and let this crap continue as long as it did are also responsible. His parents should be charged with child abuse for allowing this to happen. Stop telling women to stop talking, women are DONE with misogynist blowhard men like you. Diddy is in a cushy cell with all kind of privileges that anyone else would not have and has already paid off who knows how many people so they will not talk. Not to mention his threatening people. Reminds me of a Woody Allen movie. Big stars Steven Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, but what could be missing is Woody Allen. 3 shows in and I still see no direction.
