played by Eddie Redmayne whom I’m sorry but menacing assassin? he is not and the person supposed to take him down? honestly how do these things get even greenlit?
I think it’ll be easy for Redmayne to play a sociopath. He’s great at being emotionless, yet interesting. Steely-eyed killer is right up his alley.
I didn’t like Edward Fox that much in the 1973 version, so I get when an actor doesn’t work for you. I read the book, so the 1973 movie was accurate, but kind of dragged.
Bruce Willis was a bit too charismatic to be the Jackal (1997)l, but I enjoyed the pacing a little more, and John Malkovich. They totally didn’t follow the book and the ending was cliche.
While we’re waiting for the release, Michael Fassbender really nails the professional assassin trope in “The Killer”.
