It’s based on the french HPI

Fun so far. I love Kaitlin Olsen. I hope this show catches some steam.

Sounds like Elsbeth…. lets see how this plays out

I thought so too before epi 1 but after epi 2 I’m hooked, this is WAY BETTER than Elsbeth hands down, I tried to like that one but it was just too silly stupid IMO smh. This one I feel has High Potential lol ;)

Wow! Interesting how books and TV can be such unique experiences for different people! I really prefer Elsbeth. I like the format of the viewer already knowing the guilty party; Makes it kinda neat to see how the “clues” unfold. Both are lightweight cop procedural with some quirk, like @TisOnlyMe said below. And I will still watch, as it’s a good filler show!

I do like this series and just enjoy it for what it is. A cop show with a (nice) twist. Yes, there is not much new, but what can you do in the 2020s?? A cop with a dog as partner…done. a cop with a rookie as partner… done… a cop with mentalist capacities..done..a cop with photographic memory…done.. a cop with an ex-wife as a partner…done… a cop with no partner and a raincoat.. done….a cop without a badge.. done….

does not leave a lot of things you can invent anymore and that means you probably need to try and do something again, but better…. is this one better then “the mentalist” or “unforgettable” (just two similar shows that come to mind).. probably not so far, but it can still grow and either way its “just a nice watch” which is more then can be said about 90% of tv programming nowadays.

a cop with an alien for a partner…. done. a cop with a robot for a partner…. done

CAT
There is no show with a cop who has a cat as a partner.

You forgot Vampire Cop. That old Canadian show in the early 90s
Also, Time Travel Cops, a couple of them lol.

But no cops with a cat.
This could become a juggernaut of a police show especially if the cat was a rescue.
Oh hell ya.

Hode it, Hode it ……
A Time Traveling Cop Cat that talks.

I was excited by the first ep of this but now 3 eps in it’s pretty much same-old-same, another lightweight cop-procedural-with-a-twist. Kaitlin Olsen is great but the show doesn’t really give her much to work with. Who’s the guy, her cop-partner? I’m not impressed by him much. However, it’s still a lot better than Elspeth which just was too silly for words! I’d like to check out the French original HPI but there are currently no links posted. There’s not a lot of series i like at the mo so i’ll prob still watch this, just wish it had a bit more depth. Thanks :))x

I like the show but I hate these short seasons.
It used to be a season went 21-24 episodes.
In the old days, some seasons went with 26-28 episodes.
It feels like we are getting ripped off with seasons that have 8-13 episodes.

Cute little show. I’m not in love with it, but it’s defiantly watchable.

Dvora 1 points 5 months ago.

I like intelligent televisions shows, and this show ticks all the boxes, however, there is no hook - nothing new that would prompt me to tune in weekly. Even the secondary story arc has been done so many times before. I will give this one a chance, but unless it can pull a rabbit out of its hat I’m thinking is it just one of many using the same formula.

this show has high potential.
