Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, Landman is a modern day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it's reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics. |

this sheridan seems to be the ultimate series runner at the moment for “great USA themes”…
but he always tunes his story arches the same way(untill now).just waiting for the first real problems for the main characters
made 2 episodes, thats about all I could take..Luv billy bob, but thats about it, the rest is crap..
Just discovered this today with Billy Bob Thronton. This new drama was written by Taylor Sheridan who wrote and produced Yellowstone (with Kevin Costner) and 1883 (with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw). And now Demi Morre has been added to the cast along with Ali Larter, and Michelle Randolph. Billy Bob always plays the tough guy rather well. The first time I took note of him was in the sitcom Hearts Afire and the first sitcom he was in was Evening Shade which took place in his home state of Arkansas and starring Burt Reynolds and Ossie Davis. I need to go back and watch Evening Shade and pay close attention and see if I can spot Billy Bob, he was on the screen briefly in 2 episodes.
Four more days to wait! It just occurred to me that Billy Bob Thornton and Wes Bentley are both from Arkansas. Not a lot of actors from Arkansas, but the few that have made it in Hollywood are rather good actors. One that comes to mind is Josh Lucas.
Filming has wrapped up in Texas and the heat almost did the whole cast in. Still no release date but hopefully that will be soon.
It doesn’t get that hot in June. We’ve had a relatively cool summer, so to speak.
I don’t often comment, but 4 eps in, I’m quite enjoying this. Worth it if you like BBT’s ‘attitude’, and are a fan of Ali Larter 😉. A bad santa in the land of JR Ewing 😂
Don’t think I’ve seen any of the other Sheridan stuff.
A new cast member has been signed up, Sam Elliott. I’ve always like Elliott and we shall have to wait and see if he’s going to be a bad guy or a good guy. But him and Billy Bob on the screen together might mean some conflict between their characters.
Thoroughly enjoyed Season #1. Fingers crossed for Season #2 getting into the Starting Gate, because I would definitely be a returning viewer. If you haven’t seen any episodes, give it a whirl: I sincerely doubt that afterwards you’ll be regretfully shaking your head. ✌🏼💗😆
The jury is still out on John Hamm. I really can’t put my finger on it, but I feel that he has been miscast.
binged this today, finding it rather witty. looking forward to the next 2 ep’s.
This is a great show so far , Billy Bob is in his element
A release date is November 17th……
Billy Bob Thornton in all his unique gift-of-gab glory.. No one says it the way he does… I really really like the show.
Do we really need this one? Trailer is underwhelming.
Amazing show even better because it triggers people by shattering their Echo chamber
