Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight "The General" Manfredi, just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a "crew" from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that, to him, might as well be another planet.

Another excellent character from Stallone.

Piglet 7 points 11 months ago.

Production of Tulsa King Season 2 has officially begun with Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as Dwight Manfredi. Season 2 will address the cliffhanger from the Season 1 finale involving ATF agent Stacy Beale turning Dwight over to authorities. Terence Winter is back on board for Season 2, contributing as a writer and executive producer, alongside Taylor Sheridan and Craig Zisk.

greenguy86 2 points 11 months ago.

Only Sheridan series worth watching now

booger 4 points 2 years ago. 3/5 stars.

A good show with some funny scenes (I was hoping for more humor) and some dramatic scenes (some even believable) interspersed among scenes where the main character steals, lies and cheats (aka acting like a mobster) their way to riches undeserved also known as being a mobster/criminal/scumbag.
While I enjoyed watching this for entertainment it glorifies scumbaggery and makes the victims seem grateful for having this leach suck them dry.

Akrimay 4 points 2 years ago.

Hey it’s Rocky in a suit. 😊

Piglet 3 points 4 months ago.

Star and executive producer Sylvester Stallone is finalizing a new pact to continue on Taylor Sheridan’s hit Paramount+ drama series for the next two seasons. With him on board, Tulsa King is poised to get a two-season renewal for Seasons 3 and 4. Can’t wait!

Gnostic_Alchemist 1 points 1 year ago. 5/5 stars.

Awesome show, great job by Stallone

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago.

I just watched the 1st episode and I hope it gets better. I was afraid that the people of Oklahoma would be portrayed as rednecks/Okie baffoons and sadly they are! For this reason I may not watch after another episode!

Piglet 2 points 2 years ago.

Yeah, adding another tib bit on this new drama. This drama is from Taylor Sheridan who is the creator of Yellowstone. I would think that he wouldn’t write the TK characters the way he has. Not everyone in Oklahoma is a redneck, a bible thumper, cowboy boot wearing buffoon.

LaserGuy 2 points 2 years ago.

Taylor Sheridan is the creator of the series, not the writer.. I just watched the first 6 eps. This is a good show, Stallone is in his element.

Piglet -1 points 27 days ago.

Taylor Sheridan wrote the first draft pilot script for Tulsa King in less than 24 hours. Sylvester Stallone co-wrote the first and last episodes of Tulsa King season 2. So there!

Boiler 1 points 2 years ago.

maybe his perception is through the eyes of timothy mcveigh. j/k

The deep country and inner city are two different beasts

Piglet 1 points 6 months ago.

Season 2 starts Sunday night the 15th. How ironic too, I’m going to Tulsa Sunday to see my brother.

maxx.black2 1 points 2 years ago. 1/5 stars. (Contains Spoilers)

Didn’t Steve Van Sant already do this with the series “Lilyhammer” about 10 yrs ago ? Seems like a very similar story

Alien 2 points 2 years ago.

Yes, he was in wit-sec after ratting on his boss.

grasshopper rex 2 points 2 years ago. 2/5 stars.

Now that was a good show.

Piglet 1 points 2 days ago.

A couple more actors will appear in season 3. Robert Patrick (known for his character in Terminator 2: Judgment Day) and Beau Knapp (from SEAL Team who appeared the last season) have joined the series. Patrick will play ‘Jeremiah Dunmire’, a powerful guy with deep pockets in the liquor business. Knapp will play ‘Cole Dunmire’, Jeremiah’s son and a trust fund country boy with crazy in his eyes. And the type of trust fund baby who won’t work and think he’s God’s gift to mankind.

greenguy86 1 points 2 days ago.

RP was the guy we saw/heard in the season finale. Good addition.

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago.

The only reason I would watch this is the fact that my brother lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Curious to see which areas of Tulsa will be seen in this drama and some filming was done in Oklahoma City too.

grasshopper rex -4 points 2 years ago. 2/5 stars.

I don’t get the appeal of this show. Stallone has the emotional range of a rock. Unoriginal story, poor writing and horrible acting

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago.

I totally agree with you. Some actors like professional athletes don’t realize that they need to retire.

Waldo512 10 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I was actually thinking the opposite. His character would be stiff/wooden from years of prison. I thought he was doing an excellent job of expressing, but in a compact way. Less old school stage acted and more modernly portrayed.

The bit when he found out about his daughter was quite expressive…. But I do also smoke a bit of weed.

Alien 7 points 2 years ago.

I agree. Stallone is in his element.

grasshopper rex 5 points 2 years ago. 2/5 stars.

There will be no praising of Stallone on my thread.

Alien 4 points 2 years ago*.

hahahaha. I can never tell where these stupid lines lead.
And, look! We’ve made this series the most discussed in the “Most Discussed” section.

grasshopper rex 3 points 2 years ago. 2/5 stars.

Most disgust is more like it. 😂

Alien 3 points 2 years ago.

okay, okay 🥴

Waldo512 5 points 2 years ago.

LMAO, I recently went back and watched the original Rocky. He did get nominated for an Oscar for best lead in it. Yes he did a bunch of popular “overacted junk”. But I think the man can act….

And Tulsa is definately better than The Party at Kitty and Stud’s

Waldo512 4 points 2 years ago.

And writer of my favourite movie line.

Mickey (Burgess Meredith) “He’ll kill ya ta death Rock

Alien 4 points 2 years ago.

RIP

leatard 2 points 2 years ago.

I don’t think I’ll watch either lol

Alien 1 points 2 years ago.

Holy crap, that must be a terrible movie!

Waldo512 1 points 2 years ago.

There used to be a link here.
I watched for about 10 minutes to see:
Yup that’s actually Stallone
Yes It’s really bad
And whoa it really is at least a soft-core porn.

I was giggling the whole time.

Alien 1 points 2 years ago.

Uhh, I have no need for that link, but thanks anyway.
Maybe Grasshopper will check it out. :)

grasshopper rex 0 points 2 years ago. 2/5 stars.

Don’t drag me into this. Nothing about Stallone says party.

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago.

I saw it back in the late 80’s and I had to turn it off! It stunk!

Rasnac 0 points 4 months ago.

This show has potential, but it is tonally uneven. It is like the writers can not decide if they want to make “Analyze This” or “Sopranos”. Many storylines feel oversimplified and rushed.

Dethkids 0 points 5 months ago*.

Parameters to being hired for the show, knoWhatAmea?
#1. Must be more unintelligible than Silvester
#2.Cannot be an actor that outshines Silvester
#3.Must be barely understandable to a point (Refer to Rule #1)
#4.😐 Ey,Yo lemmie get seben point fah milln’ dollas, for ya role? Aihght? Naah? Ah undastand….NOU, …I undastand.😩 OK? (..sevnpointfamilln….)

Piglet -1 points 10 months ago.

I know some of you like Tulsa King and I did finish season one. It was bad but wasn’t stellar either. But maybe this will give the drama a bit more life! ‘Tulsa King’ Adds Neal McDonough as Season 2 Series Regular. McDonough, known for his roles in “Band of Brothers,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Star Trek,” “American Horror Story,” “Suits” and “Yelllowstone” and many other dramas and movies.

LaserGuy 1 points 28 days ago.

Neal McDonough seems to play a A.H. in every series I’ve seen him in.
