I totally agree with you. Some actors like professional athletes don’t realize that they need to retire.
I was actually thinking the opposite. His character would be stiff/wooden from years of prison. I thought he was doing an excellent job of expressing, but in a compact way. Less old school stage acted and more modernly portrayed.
The bit when he found out about his daughter was quite expressive…. But I do also smoke a bit of weed.
