Point blank, I loved these actors in this theme and they played it off well. A lil Equilibrium and Lord of the Flies in space was entertaining to watch.
I liked this movie better the first time that I saw it…. when it was titled “The Lord of the Flies.” So much recycled in Hollyweird lately. Nothing is original anymore. It’s all been done before. Similar situation with “Avatar,” it was a remake of “Dances With Wolves,” which was a remake of “Dune.” Check the end credits on “Avatar.” The production company is named “Dune” Productions. The list is endless.

Sending children to spend their lives in outer space like robots, with strict rules, while depriving them of their humanity. The drama was inevitable. 1 star for mission control. 5 stars for the movie.
Nah, mission control had the right idea for minimizing risks to mission success but their real mistake was putting the hormone suppressors in a separate drink. It should have been in an implant or a staple food, something everyone ate. (But then we wouldn’t have a movie).
Chemically neutering a bunch of pre-pubescent kids was a cold-hearted decision, fer sure, but the designers knew survival, good decision making and long term planning ain’t exactly hormonal teens’ main concerns. And as we saw, 30 horny and aggressive teens left alone on a long boring trip ain’t exactly a recipe for success.

Yep exactly, they wasted a good concept with an interesting cast for the most, but it crashed so fucking hard and never recovered. Last hour of the movie is a repeat of a story told a million times already. Only way to appreciate this movie is if it’s the first movie you’ve actually seen

I also found it boring..!!!..An 86 month trip would have been better, and watching them inhabit the new planet, with their children, would be more enjoyable…!!!…
As everyone else said, a very modern retelling of Lord Of The Flies And a bit like Season 1 of The 100. Its just an update and a good one for what it is.
Of course it seems like its bad because they took the most extreme stereotypes and mixed it with the dumbest situation. But that was the point. I hated the main bad guy so.. good job Hollywood, you cast just the right prik for the roll. In what they were trying to do with everything, they did really well. (even if that was to tell the most annoying story we already heard, in the worst way.) 8/10.
I will say that I agree they squandered a great premise with such a sad and stupid story. I think the movie High Life 2018 with Robert Pattinson did it way better and probably for a fraction of the cost too. High Life seemed more realistic and organic if a bit crazy. Voyagers felt pretty forced imo. They almost had me with the sci-fi monster.. would’ve been better.
A bit boring, but an ok film to kill time with.
Stupid writing. They made it look like teenagers are mentally retarded and need drugs to stay calm and rational. Also the plot doesn’t stick to laws of physics. Anybody who wrote this has clearly an abnormal brain. It always annoys me when a good idea is being ruined by demented writing.
