I saw this in the theater and it’s pretty bad. I would consider it the worst in the Saw franchise, if you can even consider it part of the franchise. Chris Rock should stick to comedies because his acting in this is awful. The editing is terrible too. There are also a couple of consistency errors in this, which is sad since some of the people involved in the film worked on several others in the Saw franchise. Most of the devices are lame and not memorable at all. It’s also incredibly predictable. I figured out who the killer was partway through the movie, and I think most people did too. After the movie ended, one woman even said it was really disappointing. I’m sad that Samuel L. Jackson wasn’t utilized in this more. He should have been the main character that Chris Rock played. It would have made the film somewhat better. Either way, definitely the worst movie in the franchise.

I really did! I had questions towards of why towards end but when the twist came I was oh nowwww….I think they all the cast did a great job. Bit surprised of how I didn’t mind Chris, usually he annoys me. But now I want a part two and I want him to get this little deranged brat (LOL)
I’d suggest for everyone to wait for as long as it takes for better quality. I gave it a shot, but could not hear or see to enjoy it, or know what is happening.

Yeah I agree I skipped to a random part of the movie, and couldn’t see much. It looked like a reflective tv kind of where you see the stuff behind you on the tv like a light or fan or something. The quality isn’t that good. I think the actual HD version will be a good movie.

I think Chris Rock has potential to be a serious actor if he’s allowed to spread his wings a bit more. This was an alright movie, a little predictable, but well acted. Kinda weird seeing a heavy hitter like Samuel L Jackson taking second fiddle to Chris Rock, even though he’s a great actor in his own right.
Comedians often do really well in dramatic roles. You got to be able to keep a straight face, act convincingly pissed or sad to sell a joke sometimes. Look at Jim Carrey or Robin Williams (R.I.P.). Even Dane Cook did okay in Dan in Real Life (2007). Besides all that, you see Season 4 of Fargo released last year? Chris did pretty damn good in that.

Crazy movie with wild visual effects. Scary for sure, but this movie is really good edge of the seat thriller with some exceptional twists and turns. I would watch it again and maybe not shut my eyes on the scariest parts next time. Enjoy!

This is why it’s good to go into a movie with an open mindset. I’m so happy I gave Chris and Saw a fair chance. While I loved the Saw franchise and actually don’t care for Chris as a comedian, I loved this movie. It’s a easy 4/5. I hope there’s a sequel.

I am a huge fan of Saw franchise although it has become more than ridiculous, however this movie has no “qualities”. It is boring, trying to be taken serious whereas it should have been just a dumb saw movie. The main character is annoying, the traps are unoriginal and there’s no suspense about them… I could go on about what else is wrong about this movie, but to sum it up it is just so dull.
