With the abandoned, walled city of Las Vegas overrun with zombies, after a disastrous government fault, the billionaire casino magnate, Bly Tanaka, realises that he has left something in Sin City: $200 million to be more precise. For the time being, his mountains of cash are safe behind his impenetrable casino vault; however, the US President plans to nuke the entire city in less than 96 hours. Now, Tanaka is willing to pay $50 million to the decorated former mercenary, Scott Ward, and his hand-picked team to retrieve the money before the bomb obliterates the city. Is it wrong to say this is my favorite zombie movie right now because it is? Zach Snyder knows how to make movies with the right people.
Really looking forward to this, because I love these kinds of movies and shows. Anything thatās got to do with apocalypse.. is my thing. This looks like itās going to be a mix of doomsday, resident evil, The walking Dead, and Netflix the last kids on Earthā¦ Hoping that itās going to be a good one, it looks like itās going to be.
Have you tried Sweet Tooth on Netflix? Not your typical apocalypse show though so maybe it wonāt be your flavor.
This has been a work in progress since Snyder did Dawn of the Dead. Itās easy to poke fun at it being filled with zombie/infected cliches and the merging of the heist/action/zombie, but thatās exactly what Snyder intended. Whether you liked it or not, itās worth checking out the Making-Of videos. Imagine the aggravation that was caused by having to replace Chris DāElia with Tig Notaro with solo/CGI shots.
Did not know what to expect from this movie but it was entertaining. The cast was great and many recognizable from other shows and movies. I like the feeling of ābut wait thereās moreā¦ā at the end. All around a good movie, worth the watch.
Itās amazing reading the comments, some people realize itās a movie and itās just meant to pass time. Others for whatever reason seem to think ā a movieā was gonna change the world of zombie movies forever!!! Thank you, I needed a good mindless laugh Hahaha Thereās NOTHING wrong with this movie, itās a good zombie movie. No itās not the best but itās beyond far from the worst, my only complaint is something none of you are even talking about, itās kinda weird honestly!! Lol The pilot, nobody noticed how she just didnāt match the entire movie? She was a completely different shade of color than EVERYTHING through out the movie, then if sheās in a scene itās like sheās talking to the wall and not the actor right in front of her. Apparently she was a recast? Iām not even sure Haha Either way Iād give the movie a solid 4 out of 5, if you like zombie movies and your not gonna obsess over every single little stupid, pointless detail. Then youāll love this!! If youāre one of āThoseā kinda movie watchers, Iād pass and go find something worth complaining about!! Like āA Quite Place 2ā!!!

the king queen thing with a blue electric type skeleton was really a B movie type idea Snyder didint have 4 hours this time and it shows

had high expectations and hopes for this maybe thats where I went wrong , I almost switched off during the opening credits , stayed on to give it a chance just over an hour in and I was falling asleep . Bautista is hard to watch trying to act and the film was just painful , I just gave up and only wish the director had given up also but he likes to drag things out needlessly . very dissapointed

Zack Snyder needs to never write another script again. Love Batista and love zombies but this movie was incredibly frustrating and the characters made the dumbest decisions. So much ham fisted BS that should have been left out.
Very average.
I had high hopes for this movie being a mainstream film with a great director and an interesting cast. Not bad acting lots of really well done special effects but the problem was it was to predictable. We took bets within 20 minutes of the start as to who was going to survive and even what order they would die and were not wrong on any of it. We even predicted the ending which shows Hollywood writers are getting lazy and hoping foe a sequel,. If a sequel is planned I hope they leave some surprises in it so we could be entertained.
Itās like Fast and Furious without the cars, add zombies. Maybe a pinch of I am Legend. Zack Snyder visuals are present. It kept me immersed, although the hype was larger than the delivery. Disregard the hype and expectations, and it becomes perfectly acceptable.
Definitely looking forward to seeing this one! I really liked what he and James Gunn did as far as the remake of āDawn of the Deadā went and everything I have heard about this one so far? is that it is totally over the top and gory in a good way.

Beyond stupid, how anyone likes these Zombie movies makes my mind boggle.
I grew up liking them and now weāve run the genre into the ground like everything else. Any movie about anything can be well done and I agree it was really awful.

Genetically engineered smart zombies would probably have the instinct to try and reproduce. It was a special zombie created by science that started it all if you followed the plot. If its smart enough to wear a helmet its smart enough to want to bang. Makes sense to me
imo zombie babies would make sense in a movie or tv show with a narrative built around zombies being people too, like iZombie or Warm Bodies. It doesnāt even have to be a romantic plot, just a universe where lots of development has been put in to show the viewer who they are, what they want, and make us sympathize with their parenthood when they do succeed in reproducing. It doesnāt make sense in this context because it seemed to be a parallel to the human father-daughter and mother-daughter relationships without enough world building to justify the fetus reveal. Considering the movie is a sequel to a pretty well established zombie universe itās kinda jarring and not worth it, but just in my opinion. Not like itās a crime against filmmaking or the worst thing ever though.
Good zombie movie. I recommend starting the movie at 4:18 though because that hokey Las Vegas show song sucks and it looks fake and pretty much ruins the start of the movie. They should cut that part out! But the rest of the movie is really good. Love the zombies. Kind of a cross between the The Strain and The Walking Dead. Definitely recommend it for a watch if you like zombie movies. Enjoy!
Not sure why but reminds me of Ghosts of Mars :P love zombie movies and albeit a very entertaining action movie and the concepts were interesting but smart zombies just not for me, give me endless hordes of fast or slow zombies that just simply want to eat ya and watch as a group of people try to survive :) non the less Zack Snyder is a very good director and it was a fun movie but nothing special.
Overall I give this movie 2.5/5 a solid B-. While this is entertaining, it falls far short of its potential.
Despite halfway decent performances from veteran actors, this movie fails.
With any movie, you can expect inconsistencies and weird logic and this one did not disappoint in that regard, unfortunately.
The excellent music score and SFX were the only thing able to bring it up from a C.

Simple even tho this film is indeed getting released on Netflix this Friday Netflix also released the film in theatres / cinemas where it is currently playing and will be playing in theatres / cinemas for about a week before moving permanently onto Netflix.

Mr Zack Snyder just love some baby zombies LOL I loved the cast the thing is I had a feeling that the beginning of the movie was better than the whole rest, Iām not a fan of sex scenes in movies but it would be nice to see that zombie alfa getting his queen pregnant LOL.
I had an awesome time enjoying this movie, its ok could have been a better spoiler one get it LOL I added spoiler instead of what I wanted to write. It was awesome all in all.

Damn. I genuinely hated this, but I am sorry youāre not getting more of what you like. Maybe if Rebel Moon 3 and 4 are a hit Netflix circles back around to other Zack Snyder stuff.

Army of the Dead is mindless junk. Now Hollywood managed to ruin even the zombie genre. I started facepalming since the very beginning of the movie. The plot is zero level of writerās brain activity. No matter how much low your expectations are, you still will hate this movie. George Romero is rolling in his grave.
This was some hot garbage 3/10 stars. Predictable plot, bad storyline, and kate dont get me started on her. Soundtrack sucks too. This was bad all around. Can i get my money back or at least the 2 n a half hours of my life
A mid watching and the first āheroā, the bad ass biker style woman āChambers, has been killed. All good up till now, then her bf is literately 20ft away in a wide corridor with a couple of zās to each side just standing there shouting whilst his missus is rolling on the floor, especially as heās supposed to be some experienced reality video making zombie killerā¦. dude WTF she could of been saved SOOOOOO easily, after her escape jumping through the window it was such a pathetic way to kill her off.

I agree. I really liked that movie. This was pretty meh. They definitely went overboard with the Alpha Zombies. Fine, they can think and plan but we didnāt need a pregnant Zombie Queen, nor the father to rip the dead Zombie fetus out of the mother. Also how is the fetus dead? They are literally the undead, even the Zombie Queen wasnāt dead after being decapitated.
The roaring at the beginning between the zombies gave me Jurassic Park Velociraptor vibesā¦..

I clicked on Daveās name hoping to find it, found a dew movies with him in them ad a bunch of WWE stuff, but nothing related. Would like to find the first one, looks pretty good. Never saw it. Another movie by Zack Snyder that doesnāt come to be nowhere near as fun as te trailer. I donāt know if he thought he was making something new but I have played zombie shooters with more original stories.
Itās just bland, thereās no blood in it. Even the acting, which is not bad, is not enough to save the movie.
Add to that a really ludicrous ending and you have the full picture. Shame.

Thought this movie would have at least some unique merit to it. But honestly it was filled with cliches and when it didnāt have that going on then it was cringy dialogue and plot devices.
