Not a very great or bad movie, just a one time watch as I almost stopped it twice way through it.
Snake Eyes with a voice?
Just okay, not a G.I. Joe fan so didn’t go into this with high expectations. Can’t compare it to other movies of franchise being a spinoff and this focusing mainly on martial arts. On that scale the fighting was weak and have seen way better. Plus, Snake Eyes doesn’t come off in best light even over rival who you actually feel sorry for. It’s a decent action flick to pass time though.
i wish i had two more hands, so i can give that movie four thumbs down.
How Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow met here does not coincide with the G.I Joe: Rise of the Cobra Snake&Storm back story. :(
This movie kinda retconned the first one’s explanation of Snake Eye’s past. I was thinking that perhaps the back story in the first movie comes in between the time that he lost his dad, and the story of this one, but that would make no sense since in the first movie, Stormshadow left the clan after killing the hard master. So, unless there was another clan that they both happened to join, the continuity makes no sense.
Also, side note, have they ever explained why Snake Eyes doesn’t talk?

Fun ride! Great action sequences and camera shots. The story flowed nicely for a two hour live-action toy commercial. lol

I guess I’m older than some of you and I’m hard of hearing and have trouble seeing. I really wanted to watch this because of Andrew Koji who played in that series, Warrior. Loved him in that and had never seen him before. I watched as much as I could but I couldn’t make heads or tales of it so I will wait for the HD to come out. :D

Was an ok movie till the last 25ish mins. The whole girl power and that mag change bs was cringe worthy. The action was Fast and Furious level stupid at the end as well. Some of the writing as well. The worst one liners. The first 80% 6/10 the last 20% 3/10.

For me it was just another Chinese Fight movie. Trying to get G I Joe franchise to pay off. It didn’t work.
Are you sure it wasn’t a Russian fight movie? Last I checked, Tokyo was in Japan.

Pretty good movie! Of course it doesn’t hurt that I am a sucker for revenge plots. I grew up with G.I. Joe “action figures” and cartoons and comics so am predisposed to like this.
Good solid story, action, acting etc. Nothing really new or groundbreaking, yet still an enjoyable ride.
For some reason, I am now in the mood for some Zatoichi.
this was good, but i dont like the reason why storm shadow became evil. the reason was dogsh*t stupid just cuz he couldnt be the leader of the clan from just one mistake.
This movie turned out to be a lot better than expected. I enjoyed the action and especially the martial arts. The actors are excellent. I hope to see the next movie soon!
