So happy they released this early because I’ve been waiting for this sequel/reboot. They finally did Suicide Squad right and lived up to it’s name making it rated R. Had great chemistry between cast and surprisingly touching moments between all the action and humor. My favorites were King Shark and obviously Harley Quinn who Margot Robbie was born to play. DC needs to keep this same momentum going for future films.

Loved everything about this movie and also feel they finally did TSS justice (still wish there where a couple super hero cameos). Sadly it bombed at the box office (no fault of the actual movie, nature of the times we live in) and is projected to not break even world wide. So we may not be seeing anymore TSS movies.
This movie did EXACTLY what it was ‘spose to do! 😌🙏 Dear WB..please invest your time and energy on making “mature” comic book movies and take risks over profits about selecting producers and directors and WRITERS who KNOW the genre and can make dope movies! HUZZAH!!
WB animation tells much darker grittier stories and they just need to take some of that talent that they already have and apply it to the WB live action side of things.
This is why the non cw dc shows work. Producers just want to do whatever they want to do. Its about the characters and storylines. Much better for fans.
Enjoyable, mindless fun — but really, who is expecting great art?!? Definitely better than the first Suicide Squad movie. James Gunn brought his style & humour to the action.. and the blood is all just part of his Troma background.

Nope they do not need the marvel people, they just need to hire the WB animated series people for the WB live action stuff as well. Honestly i feel the marvel movies other then deadpool and old man logan are made for children.

Let me ask you a question, who is more for children, avengers movies or Nolan’s Batman trilogy ?
I don’t like the new DC movies at all, not a single one, even the new Snyder cut. With that said, still, Marvel movies and comics are more for children than DC
What they needed, is what they and Marvel did. Get people who know the comics to direct, and then not have the studio / parent company (WB, or Disney respectively) mess about with the director’s vision - as what happened to both Snyder and Ayer, where half of their films were left on the cutting room floor in an attempt to tailor it for the masses.

Senseless violence, Gratuitous gore, Killings on a massive Scale. Should never be seen by small children but I loved every minute of it.
Great action and fun, and don’t miss the little snippet near the end of the credits.
1/2 way through this, and if ya liked the 1st one, you’ll love this one. Insanely violent— like Deadpool/Ninja Assassin/Titans (live action) violent. Good stuff. Must see 5/5.

Easily in the top 5 of DC Comics based films, of all time. This is what happens when a studio does not micromanage and incessantly force changes on to a director’s project. The Suicide Squad is every bit as hilarious and insane, as the comics of the 5th volume. For fans of the books that really hated the first live action offering (butchered by WB as it was), this is the one we wanted the first go around.

I hate Super Hero Movies, they’re all exactly the same. same plot same arcs same outcome, even this one. But I Honestly enjoyed it. I can surprisingly see myself even throwing it on again down the road.

I’ve never read any of these damn comic books but I know a good movie when I see it. Do you really expect anyone to believe you sat through a movie for over two hours that you thought was literally terrible? Either you quit or you are exaggerating.
I have figured out what put me off in the 4 months since, John Cena is just too bad an actor and it kept pulling me out of the movie. I did read the books and I watch all the output, I couldn’t like this though.
So this was really bad to me. About 40 minutes in I just gave up. To each his own, enjoy!

I think it was funnier than the first one. It’s not “better” than the first one, it didn’t make any sense. I laughed at the Shark, but none of the other stuff (expecially HQ) was funny. I think she (Robbie) writes her own lines, I don’t like her portrayal, NY/NJ jewish whiney princess got old in the first movie. It reminds me of the old Sony marvel movies, you forget them right after you watch them.

It’s what you get when you have really low expectations, and for good reasons because DC has been dishing out shitty stuffs for some time, coupled with the fact that movies these days are just either really bad or a mindless recycling of what has already been done a hundred times over.
Or third option… different people have different tastes and opinions.
Personally I didn’t care for the movie but I don’t get why it’s so polarizing. There was a time when people could find movies, tv shows, anything meh or ok. Now it’s all 1 or 10.

Well said. I don’t really get it either, but thinking you pretty much captured it, either one way all the way or the other, but seems like there is no real room for any middle ground anymore. People can’t just be like ‘meh’ anymore, and I really don’t see why not.
As for me, truth be told I actually liked the first one better. This had a few good points, but rather did like the first one better. Others may have different opinions, clearly, then mine. Fine, I’m good with that. I just don’t get why people are getting at times so clearly bent over if or not someone liked a movie enough or not.

I would say all Marvel movies are like a 5. Entertaining enough to watch but unmemorable(not going to rewatch them ever).

This is without a doubt the worst comic book movie ever made. It makes the first Suicide Squad look like a masterpiece. The jokes and gags fell flat just very cringe cheesy humor throughout and it amazes me how viewers saw the film and act like it’s the best thing ever smh to each is own I guess.
Its not supposed to be high art. Its a superhero movie in the style of Machete if you came out of either complaining about anything you missed the point.
I missed the point because I thought the movie was terrible? I don’t care what style it is… the jokes were not funny the plot wasn’t good acting wasn’t good it’s extra violent just to be extra violent that doesn’t impress me. I have never seen a superhero movie as bad as The Suicide Squad.

I agree with everything that has been said below. If you liked the first one this one tries to be funnier but the comedy is very dark. The surprise was many of the actors that show up. If you look at IMDB then you’ll see but I didn’t so I was surprised. The movie runs like a comic book, not quite like the first Hulk movie but it runs that way. Cena is annoying and that costume was ridiculous, but that was his script. Fun movie and worth the watch.
Too bad Rob Zombie didn’t get in on this. If you don’t like superhero stuff, this is prolly the best superhero flick ever!
Way better than the predecessor. However, the last act totally ripped off Invincible’s sequids.
Starro was WAAAAY before Invincible and actually the first villain to bring together the Justice League in the comics back in 1960. Everything in Invincible is ripped off from other comics which is pretty obvious from just the first episode and their version of the Justice League. Invincible is Robert Kirkman’s take on the superhero world as the Walking Dead was his take on zombies, both great shows but not original.
