A fun watch and Ryan Reynolds has this perfect nice guy personality that makes anything he does funny. Major Deadpool energy here with a unique action comedy story. Only complaint is that some of the jokes didn’t land and even made me cringe, especially from the boss.
I really thought i wouldn’t like “FREE GUY” at all.. but i was pleasantly surprised, it turned out to be pretty good overall, an entertaining movie with a few good laughs and an inventive story.. great effects too. Sure it reminded me of “TRUMAN SHOW” from the start, (he worked in a bank too didn’t he?) but also shades of “READY PLAYER ONE” with a dash of “WRECK IT RALPH” thrown in! So maybe it’s a bit formulaic, but at the same time i thought it was quite original.. Ryan Reynolds and Jodie Comer were fine! Yup, this flick gave me an enjoyable evening, can’t say better than that eh :))x 4/5
No need? I wonder—-IMDB says it’s 1:55. These are 1:47. I can always watch the end credits for extras later but I always wonder if other countries have censored parts in a movie too.
I really loved this movie! Honestly, I re-watched “The Nines” after this. Maybe it was RR or the plot of ‘waking up’ knowing you might be in a matrix kind of world.
No spoilers, movie takes care of that all on it’s own. soooooo bad… ryan has never been discerning about the roles he takes, but this is an extreme low. formulaic, overly (falsely) sentimental…. so rarely is the term “pablum” the absolute perfect fit. seems like he needs a real friend to tell him that sometimes, it’s just not worth it…
Completely agree, I was screaming at the television it was so awful. I expect this from a talentless hack like Reynolds, but what have you done to your career, Taika Waititi?
20mins in and I was invested. Think you should give it a try and not assume. I only paused to asked a question but so far I can give it a 4/5. Hope you try and like. Happy viewing
An average movie measured against the 80s and 90s when movies were still fun. But in today’s environment where entertainment has taken a back seat, it is a stand out. Hopefully the trend starts again from here and movies start to become interesting again.

I was a bit confused and couldn’t quiet understand the movie until I put on my glasses and watched it from my computer,lol,kinda a qwerty sense of humor but still a fun watch
This very much reminded me of “Baelor’s Route” Viva La Dirt League from youtube. A Npc that breaks what he normally does. “Great day for fishin ,ain’t it?” It is a great short film, I highly recommend you watch it. And they are from new zealand so I am wondering where Taika and Ryan got the idea from, considering the people in the story got ripped off. It also very much reminds me of ready player one. Same thing just not the player’s perspective. Still fun with lots of innuendos hinting at BS. I enjoyed it.

It did not suck, but it was not as good as all these comments would lead you to believe either. Mediocre at best.

Great feel good movie! Very inspirational! Had to watch some scenes twice! It was that great! Hoping for a sequel!

There may have been edits but the one I watched had no credits at the end. Maybe that explains it?
I assume you don’t mean the obvious edits where the casino commercials were added in the middle. That may be why the credits are chopped.

Go see this in the theater if you can!!! If not, watch it anyway. 9/10

felt a little bit like the theme was taken from Wreck-it Ralf 2. but Nonetheless I loved it very much, looking forward to a part 2 in the future.
