Two unlikely companions embark on a perilous adventure through the badlands of an unexplored planet as they try to escape a dangerous and disorienting reality where all thoughts are seen and heard by everyone.
Such a good cast with such a meh movie. It’s not bad but the story wasn’t worth these actors and undercut their talents. Never heard of the book but it was one of the many times Hollywood has flopped an adaption of one.
I can see why this was delayed so much. Worth a watch just to see what all the fuss was about Id say, Its not terrible, they seemed to stumble across the finish line to an average watchable movie.
Enjoyed watching something with an unexpected storyline and I like Dystopian type stories anyway so I enjoyed this one. I will probably watch it again once it is out on HD. Enjoy!

I feel bad for the actors involved with this movie ,they were probably promised this amazing movie and got stuck in a contract and had to finish it, without them it wouldn’t have held my attention. It was a cool idea but even redone they couldn’t quite bring it alive, just another missed/waisted opportunity really. What I don’t get is, you’d think, with all that money and all those resources and perspectives, they’d be able to come up with something exceptional. The same with horror movies, they have all the material they need out there in people’s nightmares but they don’t bother to ask what their perspective is and what that looks and feels like to them, instead they just assume and end up with more unimaginative pieces of redone junk. I personally can’t get into low budget movies but I bet if more directors had the resources and ability to obtain high quality actors like some of these guys do, there would be a lot of great movies out there. I’m curious to know what these big time director’s creative processes are. This movie could have been great maybe with a little more imagination and a lot less filler scenes…they literally did the same thing over and over for most of the movie, having one decent suspenseful scene, then ending it right when you felt it was getting interesting. I hate that, feeling like I only watched half of a movie. They left so many loose ended stories they could have played off of. They got tired trying finnish it and ended up just slapping it together, knowing it could have been better. There’s my review…I mean rant lol

Nothing like a dystopian trilogy from 2008 finally making it’s silverscreen appearance. Based on a 3 book series by Patrick Ness. The books in the series are as follows, The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Ask and The Answer, and, Monsters of Men. Wonder if the other 2 will be following this or if this will be the only adapted movie from the trilogy.
The CGI’d thought bubbles were pretty cool. The actors seemed to have great chemistry with each other. Glad I found this. Was entertaining and held my interest.

Pleasantly surprised! I’d never heard of it and had no expectations going in so I thought it was quite refreshing. The whole seeing thoughts thing is a bit annoying at first but you get used to it. A refreshing movie that moves at a decent pace. 4/5.

I really liked the idea on this one but the story fell a bit short, I felt like it could’ve been much more interesting to see more of the aliens and more using the noise as a weapon or see Todd really learn to use his noise the way we see the major using his noise. By the end it just feels like it was the beginning of something.
kinda worth a one time watch for the thoughts bui the writing was truly woeful - hmmm what was the point of showing that todd could manifest creatures in his thoughts to attack if he only used it once at the beginning and why if teh planet is populated by speckle did we only see one ? they could have done so much more but didnt -a very disjointed wth are we doing here (actors thoughts) ? but with a very interesting premise that our thoughts are visible to outsiders -shut up todd is she going to kiss me hahah -was it really necessary to kill the dog ?

like if the guy could learn to use his noise as a weapon things would have been differently.. i mean they should totally make this into a series like another 100 spinoff or something..

LMAO, what’s wrong with Vermont? It wasn’t filmed in Vermont at all. It was filmed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

So this movie jus started and ended with not much meat to bite into….jus bland.
Agrees its a bit loooooong
but a bit different take on the space adventures
curls up with my doggies
Cool concept on paper, but doesn’t work on screen.
Forgettable, bland and boring. I hope they don’t make another. 2/5.

Okay SciFi movie. Story not new, but done okay with a few twists.

How can Todd be so useless ?? it is REALLY frustrating
Rustic sci-fi, similar to Firefly. Might trigger misogynists or chauvinists.
Something caught your attention. I’ve been outsmarted i guess.
Can’t wait!!!!!
it was pretty good. kind of different…shut up Todd.
WTF is Tupak?
I know who Tupac/2pac is. He said Tupak.
It’s a type of cheese from Outer Slobovia.
What’s Slobovia?

The last thing I would want is to hear the monotonous drone of men’s voices and thoughts in real life let alone in a movie. I stopped after 33min.
Description sounds like Vermont. I’ll pass.

hahaha. What do you have against Vermont?
never having been to Vermont I’ll take that as a warning and stay away!!
Unnecessary to kill the poor doggy :(
I actually liked it. Hope there’s a sequel.
