I’ve watched the first episodes and will continue to watch unless it turns ridiculous. If you read the synopsis you’ll see it’s a familiar plot. It reminds me of ‘Wayward Pines’ back in 2015.
Yea it’s not great. I too thought the plot was too thin and familiar. Couldn’t get past episode 2.
Decided it’s better to wait & binge, it’s just not that good enough yet to wait weekly. More and more interest loses waiting for next ep.
Good IMDb rating.
Whereas I see all the similarities (right down to the “reckoning”) this is far more interesting than that M. Night Shyamalan disasterpiece. lol But this is an Epix original and they usually put out decent stuff.
If you do a quick check, you’ll find this plot was also a reoccurring theme on The Twilight Zone.
Funny thing about that factoid, the one thing that John Griffin (the mastermind behind this series) did in Hollywood before Epix cut him a check to make this show is he wrote an episode of the Twilight Zone reboot on Paramount+. And I’m not a believer in coincidences.
I thought ‘Wayward Pines’ also but better. Looking forward to seeing where it leads. Great so far!

Good series overall but my God they need to start giving more answers. Second season felt like 5 episodes of material the rest useless filler TV that could have been spent answering at least some questions. When they do give a little bit they then hit you with another 50 answered questions. Srarting to feel drawn out now

3rd season is total sucking~! Hardly any of the monsters, still don’t know what they are or why. I think the writer has no clue either., I mean it would be awesome if there was a bit more action. I’m being bored to death with the Victor stuff. Last EP is coming out and if there is nothing this last episode, I’m not wasting any more time on it.

I like it! Plot is trope but there’s something of an existential dread vibe that I don’t get from other shows of it’s ilk. Monsters ar real yo and I wanna have a beer with Harold Perrineau….always has an understated greatness about him as an actor. I feel like I know him. I think the show might end up subverting some expectations if it keeps steam.

Although MGM+ hasn’t offically greenlit season 3, local Nova Scotia news outlets (where filming takes place) and the local production company involved have confirmed that production will begin in July and should wrap up by December.
Binge watched the first 4 episodes - can’t wait until the next one comes out - I like these kind of shows.
My fav show genre. Acting and writing is superb in this one

Frankly boring and seen a thousand times. Meaningless and uninteresting stuff happens with a little mystery in the background, and they will stretch this for at least 10 episodes…
its ok.. the same formula as whispering pines ..milk each episode without really telling much of the actual story.. Nice to see my guy form this hour has 22 minutes in a non comedy role.. Probly might even run for 2 seasons..

When the heck is season 3?! It’s not the best show but it’s giving LOST vibes and Season 2 was a lot better. It’s possible that they are just making it up as they go along but I’ll be watching

I watched all of Wayward Pines, and it was far more complex. I don’t see this as a monsters in the future sort of situation. They’re stuck in a loop with what seems like a type of vampire.
What gets me is the constant spawning of new ideas, and then they peter out or vanish for no good reason. I mean, they had monster poison…used it once. What, they ran out with one tiny application? No way to try to make more? Then they were gonna catch a creature, a few episodes ago as of this writing, and just kind of didn’t. Plot’s kind of haphazard…but at least they explained where that damn rope came from, finally. Thought it was just a plot hole for a while.
I’ve put off watching this show got a long ass time. Just finished the first episode seems pretty good so far. Downloaded the whole first season.
Is this worth watching? Need something to watch.
Not horrible, but be prepared to not know much more about what is going on after 20 eps than you did in the beginning.

Good series that keeps you hooked by answering nothing, you can tell this was done by the creators of Lost. Hoping there is a pay off to this series though or it drops to a 1 star for me
DAMN! I WAS THOUROUGHLY ENJOYING THIS SHOW THEN IT STOPPED AT EP 5 I HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS…CANT THEY JUST MAKE THESE SHOWS LIKE NETFLIX BINGE WORTH CUS THERE IS WAY TOO MANY GOOD SHOWS OUT AT THE SAME TIME AT THE MOMENT AND I DONT HAVE ENOUGH TIME IN THE WORLD TO WAIT A WEEK FOR EACH NEW EPISODE FOR EACH SHOW. I NEED TO START ADDING THEM TO WATCH SECTION SO I DONT FORGET ABOUT ONES THAT JUST PASSED MY MIND AFTER WATCHING 4 EP IN A ROW EVEN THOUGH I WANT TO FINISH IT, IT STILL WILL SLIP MY MEMORY DUE TO THE FACT A NEW ONE COMES OUT EVERY OTHER DAY. You read something wrong. Last season just ended back at the end of November. Season 4 goes into production sometime this year and won’t air until 2026.
