Yes, I agree. Many will probably hate it, but, it’s really quite clever the way dark humour, almost slapstick moments and some classic ‘make you jump’ horror moments work so well.
Actually it’s possibly more horrific than the highly popular horror genre, because it is very likely that there are a lot of people just like this guy out there everywhere and people just think they are a bit strange when you’re a stranger!
Plus the 30 min episodes give it a soap opera feel, you know, like we stop our day just to keep up to date on what our favourite soap characters lives. And …’oooh I mustn’t forget it’s my fave serial killer soap tonight’📺

Debating on if I want to invest myself in another season of this. I liked the first one, hated the way it ended though. Was really rooting for the underdog, I tend to do that. I thought it was gonna be done and done with that, guess I was wrong; Maybe things will get exposed this time around, but snap, that girl had a pair on her! I’ll make this a spoiler comment for those that have not seen the first season, just to be on the safe side.
I think to have these people exposed it’s going to take a lot of people working together, and this time around they will have their power base a lot better consolidated. Going to be a lot harder to do. Hope the writing is as good as the last time if I try and watch it. I might give it a few episodes before I start to watch, and see what the comments are like, and if it looks good, I can binge a couple episodes.

At 14:06 (or there about) in the upper, left hand corner of the beige screen, there is what looks like a blurry cockroach! That whole area is blurry so you can’t tell for sure. Gross!

Jake Paul cons everyone, again. How he continues to fight, old, washed up opponents or not even boxers and somehow convincing everyone he’s a professional boxer is beyond me. until he fights a real boxer, in his prime and that’s actually a professional, his fights are nothing but publicity stunts.

the 2 boxers def have different styles
to me Barrios was a clear winner
Taylor vs Serrano, 10 rounds
i was routing for Taylor,
took me one round to see she was no match for Serrano
Taylor quickly started clinching, I always see that as a sign of weakness
if she deliberate headbumped Serrano or not,
she was inferrior and should have lost her belt
Shame on the judges

seems the 58yo had good control over his upper body,
but he couldnt chase Paul, those legs looked weak as F*
to me this was a money grabbing play,
the battle between douché bags

Check out Saulnier’s other movies. I’ve seen them all except his latest one that recently came out this year but it’s on my list. Intense & fascinating film oevre. He’s an actor’s director since he really allows actors to take their time to get the performances he wants from them.

WOW, episode 10 of Part 2 was mind blowing and heartbreaking. Looking forward to Part 3. Only 5 more episodes left. But will have to wait till February 2025. I have a love/hate relationship with this televised split release option. So different from just dropping all 15 episodes at once.

Agreed. Amazing movie. Yelchin is incredible in this. So sad he died, he had a bright future in front of him.
He was amazing as was Alia Shawkat, Imogen Poots, Patrick Stewart, Joe Cole, Callum Turner, and Macon Blair. It’s a talent extravaganza that’s dark and full to the waterline with excellent performances.
Yelchin and (although not in this movie) Heath Ledger, are two of the greatest early losses in the last two decades, IMO.

Cute idea that could have been better without all the overload of cheesy dialogue. The network stole the sheriff’s character right out of Resident Alien. Someone forgot to think the sets through. Doing a story that mostly is set outdoors in snow requires a real winter scene with real snow. The loose snow looked fake and the snow sculptures were made of plastic and looked it. Finally, to get on a plane to Hawaii one needs a valid ID. I don’t think someone named Jack with no last name, no social security number and no birth certificate would be able to get any even in this fantasy story.
