Ha Ha. I’ve got a new Christmas favorite. I didn’t even know Mel Gibson was in it - just saw it and thought I’d watch it without seeing any trailers, synopsis, or hearing anything about it. So glad I watched it. Checked out the info after I watched it - rated R mostly because of violence but a few expletives here and there. Just thought I would mention it. Good action movie and it was funny too. Movie was a 5/5 for me - I love Christmas shows. Rated the movie based on the movie - not how well somebody uploaded it - CAM is always sketchy but you can see for yourself - Excellent movie! Enjoy!

What a waste of a great premise. This movie takes itself way too seriously so all of the cheesy fun you might expect is non-existent. It’s just a very mediocre action flick. ‘Santa’ is a boring grumpy guy that keeps being referred to as fat despite the fact that he’s not. He gets shot at and he shoots back, that’s all you get. I was extremely disappointed as I was sure I would have at least a few laughs.

Absolutely agree. It could have been so much fun, but it was poorly executed and just dragged viewers through a slow wait for entertainment that never quite arrives.

Thouroughly enjoyed this film. I love how dramatic it pretends to be as everyone plays their characters so straight. Hilarious.

Mel Gibson AND Walton Goggins in a Christmas Comedy?!?!?! Gotta give this a shot. Edit: That was disappointing. I was hoping for “Vice Principals” type comedy. Instead it’s even less funny of a dark comedy than “Freddy got Fingered”.
The only comedy lies in the plot of a Santa revenge story but it really needed actual jokes. Takes itself too seriously and not enough action to compensate the drawn out scenes. This could’ve been great if they went a more slapstick route overexaggerating the characters personalities.

I think this movie is going to be my new Christmas tradition. It won’t be replacing A Christmas Story or National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, but it will be played alongside them. Mel makes a surprisingly convincing badass Santa, and Walton Goggins plays himself. Really fun movie, some laughs, some action, some Christmas spirit. I wish I’d have seen this sooner. Highly recommend, but probably put the little ones to bed first. Merry Holidays, everyone!

WOW i have got to say this is my new holiday movie. Its actually refreshing to finally have something new and not regurgitation of past movies. This is really a need to watch. my family and I really loved this one

If you are tired of the same ol’ sappy touchy/feely B.S. that is foisted upon the viewing public year after year, then this movie might be for you.
Don’t get me wrong, this still has that good ol’ Christmas message of hope and lots of cheer, it just also includes blood, a lot of it, and possibly some dismemberment.

a xmas movie thats way too violent for children and way too stupid for adults (plot holes aplenty)this shoulda been 100 x better like the trailer promised (and did not deliver) -and to top it off with black mrs cringle thats has 0 chemistry with (mel) santa = fail -if they made this like “payback” it would have been epic
Honestly, really not a very good movie. Yes, Mel is good and the woman who plays his wife is good too. But the story is silly, and the violence is overly done. How many people get shot in a Santa movie? And what happens to Santa? Really? Average at best.
A good watch. Didn’t see the chemistry between Santa and his wife, otherwise both actors were great.
Btw…Check out the love scene where Santa’’s wife is wearing a bodysuit under the sheets….lmao.

The trailer was better than the movie, that said, it was an ok one time watch. Zero action till the last 1/4 of the film. Not that it has to “have” action to be good, but the trailer sold a bill of goods that was a bit misleading IMO.
This was not teally what I was expecting. I was kinda hoping it would be a family friendly movie, but I did not think it was, at least not for my family. It got a few small chuckles out of me, but nothing like I had hoped. I guess I’ll give it three stars, simply because it might be just the thing someone else is looking for.
