I’ve been here about 4 years, but TBH I never posted anything here before about 18 months ago, because I only started really watching things here when some of my other favorite sites were taken down. I’ve come to love it here, though, but I’m not trying to be an influencer. I just like what I like and say it. Glad you like some of it also.
I don’t watch TikTok, or any kinds of shorts or reels. I don’t even watch many movies. I’ve always been impatient, as I have ADHD and just want things/people to get to the point. I get worse as I get older, I guess, since every moment is precious when you get into your 70s.
I loved “Same Time, Next Year.” I love old movies. The new ones are mostly garbage, except for a very few recommended by people with my same tastes on here. I’m more of a TV series person. I tend to watch a movie, then forget every detail about it except that I liked it, hated it, or was just ‘meh’ about it. There are not many movies that stick with me, two being Gone With The Wind and Pretty Woman (my favorite movie of all time).

Hi Amie, Thank you for your lovely reply… i fully agree with you on many point, although if you see the other comment on your post Greyfur is indeed one of the other once i look at for some opinions (that i find are equal to mine in regards to tv shows) ..Glad to see he agrees with me (although its not a competition)……
Glad you liked the alan alda movie as well… not mny “kids” here will know it….and even less will like it…

Amie, i know you have been around for ages and you and about 3 or 4 others “influence” a lot of what i watch and dont watch. but, is it that bad nowadays with people with TikTok brain? i think the pacing is what makes this show so special. Small details from S1 come back slowly in S2 and nothing is rushed, but fully worked out and explained in the “silo way”…
I wish more series were runlike this one and it makes me even more eager to wait for the next episode every week to be honest.
This is not an attack on you and especially the “tiktok brain” comment is not personal but a general statement of “need for speed and action”.
Guess a movie like “same time next year” would not please you either anymore? (wish it would as i rate your opinion, and this movie is one of the best movies ever in my opinion)

Alot of lines are being crossed that once again have my moral compass stirring. They are machines, but that scene of forced affection, I don’t know man, even though she is machine, big difference between simply throwing it out the airlock, and the kind of torture inflicted by the nefarious crew of the Pegasus. Trying to figure out if this was deliberate by the production staff? To make us ask ourselves, at what point if any, does a line get crossed when dealing with these, immitations. For me, those three officers on the Pegasus, were all sick individuals that saw Sharon being a Cylon as an reason to excuse any humanity THEY have to fulfill their sick and twisted desires.
