Well I guess this catholic hero created by a jewish writer (Stan Lee) and a protestant artist (Bill Everett), with some input from a jewish artist (Jack Kirby), is going to learn how to be JLS. :) . The concept of Daredevil was supposed to be about contradictions, catholic church in “Hell’s Kitchen”
In this case I think it’s a good thing that they’ve rethought what they were doing. I read that unlike the Netflix Daredevil series, this was more of an episodic lawyerly type thing with Murdoch not donning the suit until episode 4. We’ll still get to see it. They’ve already filmed half a season and although many changes are likely to be made, a lot of it will be salvaged.
Ahhh, so less action, more drama. I don’t mind a little build up before they get to the action, if that’s what it takes to build a good story, actually. I see a lot of people start talking about ‘filler episodes’ of there’s not a lot of action or flash bang in an episode of something, as people have been so spoiled by action sequences and special effects, that that’s what they have come to expect in every episode, and a lot of people have simply forgot what it takes to build up the people in the story line, as well as the story line itself…
On the other hand, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. You take too long to get there, and people can get bored with the show. You have to find the right balance between building the story line, the right amount of drama, and the action parts, and make those really good. Crossing my digits and hoping they did a good job. Got to where I really liked the Daredevil, was not a big fan of the comics as a kid, but liked the way they did it in the movie and the series that they did.
Actually liked him in the Defenders, and thought that that should have been continued in some way, was actually a pretty good show, might be we see some of the other heroes that were in that possibly in this series. Would be nice anyway.
Here’s the latest: Marvel announced this show will arrive sometime in March 2025, which is something to look forward to when the new year rolls around. However, despite this good news, Marvel also reported that the show’s first season will consist of nine episodes, rather than 18 as initially announced. Disney’s upfront presentation also contained a trailer behind closed doors. According to IGN, the trailer showed Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock putting on his badass Daredevil suit for a quick action sequence. There was also minimal dialogue that hints at the titular character wanting to overthrow a big, powerful organization “David and Goliath” style. “Daredevil: Born Again” will also include Vincent D’Onofrio As Wilson Fisk, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter. Margarita Levieva will also play an unnamed character.
Why were people saying this series was so good? lol. I find it actionless, and not as entertaining as others. Kinda boring honestly. What do people actually find good about this series so far? Hope it gets better going forward. I’ll still give it a 3 though.
Oh, that sucks, but I know the feeling, just saw a surgeon Monday, for my 3rd back surgery coming up. Gonna get that tail end of April, so gonna enjoy moving around a bit while I can.
Ouch! This one here is one I have been trying to put off, but have finally given in, have no choice but to do it at this point, is needed. Have a pretty good shot at success, but will be a long recovery, 6 months or more, will be back on my feet kinda quick, but will be moving slowly, no lifting, bending, twisting, you know the drill…
No, two small rods, and a couple pins, and hate that idea, but have an inflated disk, right over where they took out a vertebrae, and inserted something else to take pressure off the sciatic nerve. Now that has a lot of arthritis and also bone growth surrounding the disk that shouldn’t be there, so he has to go in and scrape a lot of that out, then I guess get the disk out, replace it, then support the replacement, or support the disk, one. Will be talking to him again for clarification.
But from what I understand, there is a 4 out of 5 chance that there will be no more pain from this point on, and also a 4 out of 5 chance that it will be a full success with no further surgery needed, so the odds are in my favor…
Also, that last one, they had to go in through my front to get to my back, and had to move all my innards to one side, so that sucked, was a part of the recovery, this time he’s not doing that, so thinking it’s an improvement…
Overall, so far feels much weaker than the old series.
trailer sure looks good..
Have heard really good things about this from people that are fans and have seen the first part of this.
Born again? I thought he was Catholic!?
:p

No Jessica Jones, no watch.
Man, the wait is starting to kill me…
I’m feeling itchy and scratchy. lol
Yup, once this pops up, I’m gonna make some popcorn, watch the first one, I know the second one will follow right after…
No food or bevs for me I have a Dr appt in the morning.
Oh, that sucks, but I know the feeling, just saw a surgeon Monday, for my 3rd back surgery coming up. Gonna get that tail end of April, so gonna enjoy moving around a bit while I can.
Hope all goes well. Spinal issues suck.
Tell me about it, but thanks…
I have had three already. They have given up on any more saying there is a better chance of doing harm than any benefit I may gain.

They used cadaver bone and a steel plate to repair and stabilize my neck. Are they removing bone from your hip or cadaver bone to fix you?

I will, thanks…
There are so many cheesy moments!
