They used cadaver bone and a steel plate to repair and stabilize my neck. Are they removing bone from your hip or cadaver bone to fix you?

No, two small rods, and a couple pins, and hate that idea, but have an inflated disk, right over where they took out a vertebrae, and inserted something else to take pressure off the sciatic nerve. Now that has a lot of arthritis and also bone growth surrounding the disk that shouldn’t be there, so he has to go in and scrape a lot of that out, then I guess get the disk out, replace it, then support the replacement, or support the disk, one. Will be talking to him again for clarification.

But from what I understand, there is a 4 out of 5 chance that there will be no more pain from this point on, and also a 4 out of 5 chance that it will be a full success with no further surgery needed, so the odds are in my favor…

Also, that last one, they had to go in through my front to get to my back, and had to move all my innards to one side, so that sucked, was a part of the recovery, this time he’s not doing that, so thinking it’s an improvement…
