I decided to re-watch both “Fringe” and “Grimm” recently, thanks to seeing the main actress from “Grimm” appearing in “Superman and Lois.”

A lot of people are comparing this to Fringe, and I have to agree. Except while Fringe has comedic relief with Walter, this show has none, and tends to focus more on the gentler emotional aspects of humanity and interpersonal relations. Personally, Iike the “no-name” actors in this, because it makes it more realistic for me. Of course, the show was cancelled, as the best ones usually are. What a shame. I guess Big Brother Season 437 is more important to viewers.

This series gets better with every episode! 4/5 for me.
I’ve watched only the first episode. Technically it’s a good show. The plot seems interesting, also the visual effects are good too. My problem is only about the miscasting of main characters. They are not charismatic at all. They look too average. Right after finishing watching the first episode I wasn’t able to remember them at all. I remember perfectly the cast of any show with good cast. But not this one. Despite being technically good, I just can’t watch it because of miscast.
…agree, it also has a tendency to be quite repetitive - none of the episodes really stand out from the others, very evident on a binge-watch.
A little bit Fringe, a touch of Scully & Mulder, pretty good. Intrigue on the way through a few episodes…

Thanks to others positive reviews I got into it then watched the trailer for some context. Good to see some decent acting too.

lol. I wondered who names their kid Scroobius? His real name is David Meads, so apparently he renamed himself.
He’s was a UK rapper. Not sure if he still raps but I started laughing when I saw his name pop up in the credits. He was pretty good as a rapper.

It’s odd he used his rap name instead of his birth name. I guess probably he wouldn’t get the recognition w/his birth name. I certainly didn’t know it till someone above mentioned it. It’s been a long time since I’ve listened to his music.
The theme music is a straight rip off of “Head over heels” by tears for fears - I have a sing along when it comes on…
Watched the pilot & rather impressed w/it. For a network series it’s pretty damn good. I was engrossed w/the storyline from the start & the main characters show some depth & personality w/room to grow. I’m looking forward to watching the rest of the series. Hopefully it will maintain it’s momentum that the pilot started!
