Didn’t anyone else notice that the first episode was like The Dick Van Dyke show with the same set etc and had a little I Love Lucy thrown in? The second was Bewitched and Pleasantville when the colors starting showing.

dinklefaust 6 points 4 years ago.

reminded me of honeymooners when that one girls husband’s name was Ralph.

well you were spot on

CatDarkwoodS 7 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

I love the show, Vision was always one of my favourite characters, seeing him again is pure joy. Also it’s so obvious in the first three episodes that there is so much more going on, and in ep 4 you kind of see what’s what.

To everyone that says it’s just a poor 50’s-70’s show, you are not paying enough attention.

mantistoboggan3 7 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

watching this tv series on this site was free. if it was good or bad who cares, people need to get off the soap box and just shut up and enjoy life. i am incredibly grateful for the people that upload programs to this site so i can enjoy my weekends watching numerous mind numbing entertainment for many hours, i enthusiastically enjoy the good the bad and the awful that is given to me as options on this website and pray to jeevus i never ever lose this free choice ever again

sparson 14 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

I love all the experts that chimed in to say this sucks. I bet around episode 4 or 5 they’ll change their opinions.

Farmboy41 10 points 4 years ago*. 5/5 stars.

It shouldn’t even take that long. So many people have no understanding about what is truly happening here because, they have no background on Scarlet Witch, other that what they have seen in the Marvel movies. The situation reminds me of a friend that told me that they walked out of Alien 30 minutes in because there was nothing happening. LOL

irishmark 1 points 4 years ago.

Because not everyone is a comic book nerd. If they want to expand their viewership beyond the narrow fan base they can’t drag out nonsensical plot lines otherwise they will loose the non basement dwelling comic nerds. If you don’t catch them in the first few episodes you don’t catch them.

I agree with you. I love superhero shows and movies but never been a comic person growing up. I started watching to support Marvel and give it a chance. I was lost. The laugh track I understand but was annoying. After watching ep 2, I researched into Scarlet Witch and little more. It appears something is to come but when?? My ignorance on the character makes it more difficult but will continue to watch at least a few more eps to see where it goes. EVERYONE: I advise not to write this off just yet. Google ‘scarlet witch’ :)

NoelCoyotebleu 1 points 4 years ago.

wow. I did google it. Going down that particular rabbit hole might take years lol. I have never been much of a comic reader, but this does give me some background, so maybe I will give this a watch someday. Thank you

the2nd 2 points 4 years ago.

That’s good. I have to say I watch ep 3 and really explained the first two. Now I’m looking forward to ep 4. hope it won’t disappoint.

OldKingSol 4 points 4 years ago.

The funny thing is, I’m not a comic book nerd and I still loved it. All of the inside references and such just sailed right past me, but then I’d watch YouTube reviews of it and the reviewers generally explained what was going on. So now I find myself wanting to watch ALL the Marvel movies, where I really couldn’t have cared less about them before. I’m probably going to start getting into the comic books next, too. All because of this most fascinating series!

biker_71 2 points 4 years ago.

well to be honest by the end of the 2nd ep it became background viewing, i know nothing about the series but even by 50/60’s sitcoms standard it was pretty poor. so is there going to be an ep every decade until something happens or comes too light. feels a bit like lazy writing to me, and could have probably been explained in a single ep instead of maybe 1/2 the season.

Jhigh03 3 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

That’s the way I’ve understood it after reading what the showrunner and actors have said about the series. I didn’t watch but know their is some type of call-back to “Full House”. So if there is a different decade covered each episode then there is still a ways to go till it reaches that and the 90’s. If it levels out into more of a Superhero show I will probably binge it but what if’s and dream sequences always feel like lazy writing and time fillers and I have never been a fan of either.

Farmboy41 3 points 4 years ago*. 5/5 stars. (Contains Spoilers)

Jhigh what you have seen so far is truly all smoke and mirrors. While it appears to be one thing,in time you will see what is really going on. I promise you this, that is no wizard you are being told to ignore behind those curtains.: )

irishmark 1 points 4 years ago.

I can’t see people sticking it long enough to reach episode 5. I fast-forwarded ep2 hoping it would change

Sal 10 points 4 years ago*.

I don’t understand how you, and some others, don’t understand the situation of this show.
You don’t actually believe this is a real 60’s-70’s show version, do you?
At the end of ep.2 you will see a small development to what is going on.
At mid to end of ep.3 you will have a better idea.

irishmark 1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Episode 3 still bored the crap outta me. Yes we already knew it was some kind of reality distortion that’s why there’s a stupid sitcom situation. Reality struggling to keep with the show.

Gellert_TV 2 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

Of course it will change, because of comic book movie fans like you. There’s plenty of action and fight in the trailers

EEzzA 1 points 4 years ago.

Same here

imnotacoward 1 points 4 years ago.

I’d laugh if when its finished it still ends up being bad

sparson 0 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

Well, well, well. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

imnotacoward 1 points 4 years ago*.

Now theres gonna be people who are gonna say the first three episodes were better than everything that came after.
I’m calling it before anyone says it.
You can downvote me all you want, people who defend age of ultron say iron man 3 sucks, you know I’m gonna be right. I may or may not be talking about twitter

imnotacoward 0 points 4 years ago.

Also, “if” “when its finished”
so no

Neo1968 1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Sorry but the first 2 episodes did suck! They were too quirky and nonsensical to follow, they were too muddled in trying to be cute and whimsical trying to mask the overlying problem. The problem being everyone knows Vision is dead and these cute stories weren’t going to hide it. This is coming from a lifelong Marvel fan, comics to movies, and I didn’t give up on the show after those 2 initial episodes. I had faith they would turn it around an they have thus far…

LegitBoss -5 points 4 years ago.

Yeah, we can’t have people on here with different opinions than yours. Cretin.

Gellert_TV 3 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

You didn’t understand what he was trying to say

sparson 3 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

Thank you for understanding.

humanityforward2814 -4 points 4 years ago. 1/5 stars.

Still sucks.

BrentW7 6 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

This show rocks. Funny as hell, but ominous at the same time.

OldKingSol 7 points 4 years ago.

I’ve a feeling this is one that needs to be appreciated “as a whole”. It’s going to take the entire series to finally and fully figure out what’s going on, and once you do, THAT is when you’ll know whether or not it was worth it. I have a pretty good idea what’s going on, and viewed in that light, I think it will be worth it. If the entire series were going to be like these first two, I’d give it a thumbs-down. But if what’s going on is what I think is going on, it will be worth it by the end. This one might take a little faith and patience to truly reel you in. I just hope it ends up being worth it!

rapscallion 6 points 4 years ago.

How dare Marvel produce something that isn’t just the same old mindless action drivel?

lol3 4 points 4 years ago.

This show was a treat to watch. Also, crazy amounts of disclosure, for those who pay attention. 100% recommended.

BigCheese_NZ 4 points 4 years ago.

We are getting a bit more info each episode. First episode = Weird and if it was staying th same I propable wouldnt keep watching it. Second episode fills in more. I enjoyed this more, and i’m now keen for episode 3.

SUCKS plain and simple.

Disney screwed up Star Wars. What made you think Marvel would be any different?

Gellert_TV 2 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

You guys just want action, right ? Rewatch the Avengers then

RobberDeNiro 5 points 4 years ago.

Omg 🤣🤣🤣 this was horrible, I don’t think I’ll continue watching. I’ll wait fur Loki!!!

Fmghost 2 points 4 years ago.

That’s the only one that looked interesting anyway

Yellowbeard 3 points 4 years ago. 4/5 stars. (Contains Spoilers)

These early episodes are just setting up why the bad guys deserve the hurting they are going to get. Ifn you watched avengers end game you should remember WHY scarlet witch ran amok and what happened when she did.

ac1d 5 points 4 years ago.

yes i am starting to agree with others this is a set up of sorts -hence marvel - but what ever happened to making a pilot episode interesting for the viewers -hooks etc

[deleted]
rdmovieman 2 points 4 years ago.

def give it a chance, by episode 4 you’ll really be into it. episode 4 puts everything into perspective and really lets you know whats going on. by episode 4, it will feel like a marvel movie

miklopop 4 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

I really like this show and don’t know why everyone hates the first two episodes. It’s cutesy and 50s for a reason, and just sets up everything for the rest of the show. If it’s not marvel enough for you, that’s fine, but it’s a genuinely good show.

rdmovieman 4 points 4 years ago*.

Im seeing a lot of hate and back talk on here that doesn’t need to be here. First of all, if it wasn’t for the comic book reading nerds in the basements, there would never be a marvel universe, and nothing for people to watch. Just remember those nerds that read comic books are people as well, and they all have regular jobs that probably make more money than a lot of people that are doing all the hating. must be that if u have an imagination you’re a nerd. If that’s the case, I’m the biggest nerd out there.

Sal 3 points 4 years ago.

So many negative comments, way too early.
You just don’t get it, keep watching, all will be revealed.

IAmHaskins 2 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

For all those who are wondering why the show is wrapped up in a sit-com style show, i may have a possible answer for that question.

Wanda and Pietro were born in Sokovia which in the MCU is a third world country, ravaged by war and corruption and so on. And like a lot of other third world countries one of the interesting things is their tv programs where you would find that a lot of places in the world still show old sit-com shows on tv from way back like Dick Van Dyke, I Love Lucy and shows like Dallas(this was a huge show in Southern America decades after the show ended) and others. This is, in my opinion a nice nod to the Maximoff twins growing up watching these American television shows of what its like to have a family in the suburbs of America.

So if im right, this is Wanda’s recreation of those popular sit-coms intertwined with the ideal life she always wanted for her and her brother, especially for her and Vision after they fell in love. And with his death to Thanos, leaving her in a pit of despair, she simply said duck that and took over West View as her own home.

sparson 2 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

Here we go.

ezl88 2 points 4 years ago. 2/5 stars. (Contains Spoilers)

Knowing how stupid powerful Scarlet Witch is in the comics, the show announcement seemed like a pretty interesting way to flesh that out for just MCU fans. With that being said, I’m skeptical about how long the show runners will be able to keep that concept fresh if it goes the way of most popular shows where there’s no predetermined episode cap and it’s allowed to go until people lose interest. Definitely going to reserve judgement until the first season is over and I hope by then the writers surprise me by making Vision an even remotely-interesting character.

ibgabe 2 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

‘WandVision is garbage.’ - People who only gave it two episodes.

Omg soooo boring 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ watch Marvel lovers twist it into something else even when Marvel dish out underwhelming product 🤣

humanityforward2814 2 points 4 years ago. 1/5 stars. (Contains Spoilers)

Agreed. I love marvel stuff, and was excited for the black and white throwbacks, but thats ALL IT IS. Its garbage

imnotacoward 0 points 4 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

I said it before, there are a lot of people that say iron man 3 is bad and age of ultron is good so no suprise at this being the reaction so far.
My main gripe with the show is that 3 episodes are almost fully just references to shows boomers would get so it does nothing for me who watches almost no sitcoms ever.
and the excuse of “you dont get it” was idiotic and cheap as well if you know anything about scarlet witch, the “twist” was extremely obvious. The only surprising thing was bringing kat dennings back. You can’t just put fanservice and that makes it a good product, star wars.
watching this on disney+ before anyone wants to use that “you’re not paying for it so criticism bad” too
Jesus I upvote the guy and I end up getting downvoted instead of him.

rdmovieman 2 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

For all those people that want to give up on this show after watching a couple of episodes, I say keep on watching… you’ll be presently surprised by episode 4. definitely well worth the wait, and a pleasant surprise from some other actors from the marvel universe movies. Guess you’ll have to watch to find out.

                       R.I.P Stan Lee Excelsior!
mel1981 2 points 4 years ago.

this episode reminded me of the family ties intro, great show am surprised Disney can get away with using so much copy righted material or at least likeness of material.

sparson 2 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

This show is more comic book than any other comic book movie or TV show ever made. And I say that in a positive way. The last five episodes should be really good.

dinklefaust 2 points 4 years ago.

excited for this

Gellert_TV 2 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

Is it just me or Marvel fans are worse than DC fans ? I thought it was the opposite but if we get in the darker places it really isn’t was I was thinking
I just came to Marvel from DC after the disappointment that was Endgame in my opinion, to watch this “MARVELOUS” first 3 episodes and everyone is calling this trash because they want FIGHTING, Punches everywhere, action, action and action. We need to calm down a bit like DC did and WAIT until the show ends to have a proper opinion on this, if you don’t like after the finale, it’s ok, it’s your opinion.

dagon51777 2 points 4 years ago.

if you made it through 3 eps, didn’t like endgame, then you’ve missed every easter egg in the show that has hinted to where this show is heading.

dinklefaust 1 points 4 years ago.

You hated Endgame?

Gellert_TV 1 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

I didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t at Infinity War’s level that was way beyond

dinklefaust 1 points 4 years ago.

I loved endgame

biker_71 1 points 4 years ago.

this is going to be painfully dragged out with just a single 30 minute ep every week. all eps should have been released at once.

I liked this limited run series. It’s a “slow burn” but highly recommend you stick with it until the end and especially watch everything that happens in the last episode (there are Bumpers at the end that may led to both Captain Marvel 2 and Dr Strange 2)

Dante89 1 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

A cool and nice show. Got entertained so will continue to watch it ^_^)/

MissVince 1 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

I hope Disney don’t make it all disney like and keeps the allover Marvel intro’s packed with action and epic battles.

Peevee 3 points 4 years ago.

It’ll probably become what you want it to be eventually but right now its far more concerned with being a comment on the evolution of the American sitcom and the changing views of America throughout the decades.

humanityforward2814 3 points 4 years ago. 1/5 stars.

Nobody cares about the evolution of sitcoms. Im watching a marvel show for gods sake.

coffeeninja 3 points 4 years ago. 5/5 stars.

No, YOU don’t care about the evolution of sitcoms. Just like any book references the alphabet as well as previous styles. Genre is the syntax of any but especially visual story-telling.

ShadowWizard 2 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

it’s not really the evolution of sitcoms, it’s more that they are trapped in a sitcom world and slowly they are trying to escape it and this is just guessing, but Marvel has a character fixated on tv shows; Mojo, so it might be him behind it

Peevee 3 points 4 years ago.

Yeah but they are using the trapped in a sitcom premise to show how sitcoms —- and America —- evolved over the decades.

Arsigor 3 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Did you miss the hydra logo not so hidden? ;)

the2nd 1 points 4 years ago.

Without giving away spoilers…. O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!! As sad as it is that the series finale has arrived, I’m looking forward to the upcoming projects in both TV and Movies that are heading our way.

If you haven’t watched this series or disliked it in the beginning, I must recomment binge watch it. :) I loved the ending despite being predictable.

THEDEVIANTONE 1 points 9 months ago.

did you lot know that contrary to popular belief the scarlet witch (Wanda) is the most powerful avenger….not even superman can touch her…the only ones who can go toe 2 toe with her are the gods….just thought id let you know that and thats from my comic book days…so b4 anyone puts there tuppence in look it up b4 you speak

discokitty 1 points 4 years ago.

I am hesitant on watching this because here are SO MANY different views both negative and positive. Can anyone tell me if it is really truly worth watching and style of show it is?

pryme 1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I only watched the first episode and found it to be very strange, I dont know what to make of it and am not sure if I should keep watching.

The whole episode was in black and white and reminded me a little of I Love Lucy (the silly comedy, black and white, husband/wife dynamic) except with sci-fi elements. It’s fairly entertaining but remains unclear where the story is heading after one episode.

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful, I’m kind of in the same boat as you, even after watching one episode, I’m left wondering if I should continue to watch.

FletchLives 2 points 4 years ago. 4/5 stars.

I just finished it last night. You really don’t find out what’s going on until episode 4.
