While trying to manouver around the site looking for possible answers to what’s happening I came across your post. I, myself am not ungrateful for the many years this site has been there for me. I pay for a few streaming sites & a huge cable bill (cuz, my husband likes to channel surf😡) but, I still chose to just watch everything from here. I won’t lie, it does suck that now I can’t just “easliy” find whatever I want but, I wish them all the best and would like to thank them for providing such a great service over the years.

Thanks for the heads-up…fell off my radar.

I am totally loving this in almost every aspect, being a TNG fan since I was 13 (now 41), but I have to admit, even though I can tend to swear like a sailor, I’m not digging the F bombs. It’s just not Trek. Feels like they threw them in there just to be edgy. Every time it was said it felt calculated, yet still out of place. Almost like a certain purity had been removed. I’m not too sure Gene Roddenberry would approve. Just my two cents….

Agreed

Great news kids! I was watching Kevin Smith’s podcast - turns out his co-host Marc Bernadin got hisself a new job this week. He is writing series two AND three of Picard - shooting starts in the summer. I am all happy now!

booger 4 points 5 years ago. 5/5 stars.

Overall, a very good series.
Some people might nit pick about this, that or the other but I was too focused on enjoying the show to notice.
I would have been satisfied with a single season as it ended beautifully, but will look forward to what they offer next without prejudice.

Aggr69 3 points 2 years ago. 3/5 stars.

Thanks to Frakes and his stellar direction the third season has put ST back on the map. Although it isn’t cannon at least it is a close approximation of ST. The only thing Gene would not have liked is the swearing. It is odd for ST but its minor at best.

greyfur 3 points 2 years ago. 5/5 stars.

I have to agree, this has been an excellent ride so far, especially this last season. Too bad it has to come to an end, but at least it is going to get a full and complete closure, which a lot of shows don’t ever get.

That being said, I do believe a lot of credit should also go to the writers this time around, as this season has been really good, and I think a lot of work actually went into this one. A good job was done by all on this one so far.

2 episodes left in the season to finish this off, so I expect that there will be one heck of a lot that will be going on in those 2 episodes. Can’t wait to see how they do it.

Aggr69 3 points 2 years ago. 3/5 stars.

You are right. The writers do deserve some of the credit unlike the previous two seasons. I expect to Shatner in one of the last two episodes. It just fits.

Rasnac 3 points 3 years ago.

Only thing I expect from this shows to find a way to restore ST:TNG-DS9 era Klingons to the canon status. It does not even have to be an arc about them, just show some proper klingons walk by in the background or something.

gunnerdan 3 points 5 years ago.

Show has ben renewed for a season 2 and possible a season 3

rdmovieman 3 points 5 years ago*.

I noticed people have giving me negative points, apparently they’re not reading the entire thing. show started off a little shaky for me, being a little slow and hard to understand at times. if you’ve never watched a star trek movie or show, you may have a hard time following the story. I am a fan of all of the movies and shows, but im not a die hard fan thats seen the movies a hundred times and have memorized everything… (Sheldon would have) :( but by the 3rd episode I was hooked. No matter if you’re a die hard fan or just passing through because there’s nothing else to watch, Patrick Stewart Is in my opinion the best captain of the enterprise, and is definitely steering this show in the right direction. Give it a chance, and after a few episodes Im sure that you’ll be wanting to be beamed up.

gunnerdan 3 points 5 years ago.

very interesting episode Wasn’t sure for the first 10 minutes but it picked up quickly.

WeirdMonkey 2 points 2 years ago.

I am sooo clamoring for a Trek series based on Worf!! Think I’ve said it on here before, but I’ll say it again! Was thinking they could call it something like, “Star Trek: House Of Mogh” It could be the first Trek series story line not centered around Star Fleet. :)

Piglet 2 points 2 years ago.

Some good news! A third season of the series was informally green-lit by January 2020 to allow it to be filmed back-to-back with the second season. It will start in 2023 and the 3rd season will be the final season.

greenguy86 4 points 2 years ago.

It was announced a few months back that season 3 was happening. We will be seeing more familar faces.

Piglet 7 points 2 years ago.

I read an article today that cast members of Star Trek would be appearing in the 3rd season. One cast members appearance is top secret. I actually haven’t watched that many episodes of The Next Generation to be honest and not sure if the person is from the original Star Trek or NG, we shall have to wait and see.

Piglet 2 points 1 year ago.

Ed Speleer was Picards son and has been in some notable movies and tv shows. He will be in a new movie Unholy Night. It is unclear which part Ed Speleer will portray in the movie, at least I couldn’t determine it. Ed can play a very mean character, so it won’t surprise me if he is the bad guy. “The film follows the story of newly ordained priest Father Paul O’Neill, who is reunited with his ex-con older brother, Luke. When Paul discovers that his ex, Donna, had his child almost eight years ago, he endeavors to rescue his daughter and Donna from her abusive husband, Tony. However, chaos ensues as Tony vows revenge and hires a hitman to eliminate Paul.”

Bloody El 2 points 3 years ago.

Sure hope S02 is as good as the 1st and doesnt follow the after school special formula of Discovery. Could use some real Star Trek. And this show is or was real good.

Beerthirsty 2 points 5 years ago.

This Star Trek series rocks! It may seem slow at first and it is with good reason. Already anxious for season 2 to arrive!

Honest Review 1 points 4 years ago.

Show was great just like expected. If you like Star Trek you will love this. Now the long wait for season 2… Season 1 8/10

Bushwhakked 1 points 5 years ago. 4/5 stars.

How does a series get 4 stars before its first episode airs?

BrentW7 6 points 5 years ago. 5/5 stars.

Because it’s Jean-Luc Picard, that’s how lol.

The worst ST ever, boring and nonsensical. Except Discovery ofc.

Had to wait till I watched the whole thing before commenting. Visuals and effects are stunning, even for a Star Trek show(I mean sci-fi visuals are usually lacking). Only a couple of characters are beyond annoying, but not any worth naming, except maybe that blonde Doc. My only real qualm is the writing, it must be a sign of the time that writing is so lazy and superficial. They basically lifted the the story straight from Mass Effect, which was an amazing story, but not what I expect from an original show like Star Trek. The fan-service was pretty good, not as heavy handed as I would have thought, and, it also brought in some very interesting side stories that can be built on.

darklighter1 -1 points 5 years ago.

Welp been through 4 episodes so far and I can safely say this show is a major league SNORE fest.

SwearengensFinger 1 points 3 years ago.

Definitely better than Discovery. Trekkies unite!

Cap'n Kirk 1 points 3 years ago.

Hell yeah! Leave it to Pickard to bring back old friends (foes) and good times. Hope this keeps up. A breath of fresh air since all that other ST bull S Paramount was trying to sell me as genuine. Keep your cartoons and over sensitive plots OFF MY BRIDGE!

Mr. Wiggles 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Season 1: good
Season 2: a pile of hot garbage
Jurati being the main borg queen (or whatever) doesn’t make any sense. what about the events of star trek first contact, why did she let the borg kidnap Picard and turn him into Locutus of borg, why did she assimilate Annaka and her family, why did she try to destroy Janeway and voyager at unicomplex?

This new era of Star Trek is dumb. i really want to enjoy the new Star Trek series but they suck. Instead of picking up where voyager left off and creating new stories featuring new elaborate worlds and species, they insist on going back in time and muddying up the continuity.

It’s like a contractor who was hired to add additional levels to an already established structure but then decides to re-lay the foundation instead.

Boiler 1 points 3 years ago.

Its been awhile. Starting to think baby Yoda assimilated the cast for the Mandalorian. Disney works in mysterious ways.

Never trust a mouse. \m/

Piglet 1 points 1 year ago.

I would certainly love a 4th season! Could it happen? “Picard” creative team left the door open for such a return at the end of Season 3. If Paramount bosses weren’t initially looking to continue “Picard” in a fourth season or a spin-off movie, should that thinking change, it should be quite easy for Stewart and company to suit up for more adventures in the far reaches of the universe.

RiKoBa -1 points 5 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The nonstop background music is fucking annoying!!
