More serious than the ones set in the modern era, but fitting none the less. Great action, sprinkled with scenes of comedy and drama. Mid Credits scene all but confirms a great sequel to come. 5/5
Impressive. That was a LOT better than I expected it to be—glad I waited for a good copy! Be sure to catch the extra bit in the end credits.
I love the Kingsman movies and this one had drama, action and comedy in just the right form. Love the callbacks and the so called easter eggs ;D

Took me a while to get around to watching it. Wanted a good copy. The copy is good now and if you haven’t watched it yet, you should. It’s a good movie. It’s the prequel that puts everything into perspective. Enjoy!
I loved the WW1 scene, reminds me of that great one that came out a few years ago: 1917
Interesting movie. Loved the history mentioned in this one. Makes one wonder if WW1 & WW2 were caused by similar instances on our own earth.
WW1 was a snowball effect over an assassination. Things were already wildly tense in Europe. WWII was partly caused by the Great Recession and partly caused by Germany’s hyperbolic reaction to the Great Recession and partly by Japan’s imperialistic aspirations. Both were essentially exacerbated by an overly aggressive Germany, though causing the whole world to pick sides so, yes, you could say similar circumstances. What’s 100% factual about this movie is that Europe was being ruled at the time by severely inbred and feuding cousins. Monarchs had intermarried for so long that every one in Europe was related by degrees. I’m sure you know from holiday dinners that cousins love eachother while at the same time hate eachother and, at times, want to kill eachother.

However, what happened behind the scenes that led to the assassination of Arch Duke Ferdinand? Who stood to gain financially & politically because of his death?
As for the royal cousins (all played by the same actor in this movie), the issue wasn’t quite different on our own earth. I watched it on the history channel quite a while back. They did often quarrel & hardly got along. One such example had something to do with furniture. Never made sense to me.

There was a Serbian paramilitary group called “The Black Hand”—sounds like something out of Marvel comics, right? lol Their motto was “Unification or Death” and wanted to see all the Slavic nations joined like what happened with Germany and Italy. They were also swole over the July Crisis of 1914 when the Habsburg Empire invaded the Kingdom of Serbia. So they decided the best route to achieving their goals was to have Franz Ferdinand killed.
OK. So,it wasn’t as a result of the plan by a disgruntled & aggrieved Scotsman? OK. Just making sure.
And yes, that name sounded like something out of the Marvel comics Universe.

There is nothing wrong. buddy!!, in this age of globalization, Kindly open up the full release calendar . there are lot of countries where release is 22nd Dec. Also, additional point , CAM copies are generally done in countries having less vigilance so, map when is when!!

I did NOT see that coming!! Well played out movie. Wasn’t what I was expecting from the trailer I watched. Thought it would be a little more war action. Still a nice watch through. 7/10

Was trying hard to like it. But it felt like watching Disney princess stuff movie.
Tapped out within 15 minutes or so.
This was a huge letdown imo , I love prequels generally but i found this silly and corny and didnt feel at all like a Kingsman movie , maybe it got really good in the last 10 minutes or something but ill never know because i couldnt suffer any more of it and turned it off
Incidentally, ‘ silly ‘ and ‘ corny ‘ were 2 from the spice girls auditions that didn’t make it !
That actually sounds more entertaining than this movie was
maybe i just don’t get it but i dropped that non-event off my watchlist. because … can’t not even say since there is just nothing to say at all.
