Interesting first series Look forward to more
this show is secretly great
the only othewr CW show that even comes close is superman&loise
First few episodes were too teenage drama for me, but this show is starting to get real good.
i was a bit worried about season 2 but episode 3 was a solid 10/10
This show is like the darkest timeline of saved by the bell. And the body count between the two seasons is phenomenal lol. There won’t be anybody left in that small town if it keeps adding up lol
great analogy, lol
and yeah they do be straight killing a lot of people for a CW show, lol. Obviously some come back in comic-book fashion but most are dead-dead.
oh you liked that minor character? RIP
Just finished season 2. It was a lot darker and had a bigger scope than the first season. I enjoyed how it felt more grown-up and had characters confront their issues/flaws, along with the fallout from what happens in Season 1. That said, I much prefer the tone of the first season, which was more about being a teen Superhero dealing with High School with lots of DC nods and references. S1 plot focuses more on things that mainly affect the town. In Season 2, the stakes are much higher with a big bad evil moon-genie that schemes to destroy the world. I liked this 2nd season overall and think the show does a great job of exploring the characters, but got less of the things I personally enjoy the most from the show. I do LOVE this show, but no surprise because I’m a sucker for well-written family dramas with a cool twist/hook (that usually get cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons, lol)
The setup for season 3 leaves me excited for a return to that original tone I mentioned, but with the script being flipped for a lot of the characters who have each gone through their own growth arc. I think this is a good quality show that stays faithful to the material while also doing it’s own thing to stand out from other superhero shows. It reminds me a lot of the early seasons of The Flash (before that show went downhill, lol), so I hope this one can keep up the momentum and come back soon with Season 3.
Not really “spoilers”, just baseless theory and guessing, BUT…
Anyone else think they’re setting Stripesy and Starman up to have been a couple? EVERY TIME Courtney mentions Starman being her dad, Pat instantly shoots back with a “He’s not”, “He can’t be”, etc.
Also just more guessing, but Pat’s son I bet isn’t even his. I’d say he was the son of one of the JSA members that died, and Pat just took him to raise and keep safe. I just didn’t remember if Pat mentioned an ex in the first episode, but he could have.
AH oops, didn’t mean to reply, lol. Sorry!

The way Season 2 ended, I’m REALLY hoping Beth gets a new outfit in season 3. …. something not dated and practical would be nice.
Altthough their town seems to be a wierd mix of outdated and modern tech …. so Beth’s suit might end up being equally wierd if she does end up getting one.
I think something closer to Beth’s costume in the comics feels right. Dr. Midnight’s costume just doesn’t look right on her.
Wasnt this supposed to be animated?
Animated would ruin the show
How so? I think it would be a vast improvement on the show considering that the DC animation writers have proven to be much better at writing and story telling then the live action writers. So far this show has made star girl out to have a despicable emo attitude and she is a little clepto to boot. She has no qualms, guilt or remorse stealing from her stepfather.
Unlike DC’s Animated Universe, where a version of Stargirl was featured, this Stargirl incarnation is from the new live-action DC Universe streaming service, which will also air on the CW.
In fact, this is not the first we have seen from Stargirl in the CW Arrowverse. Characters from the upcoming series were featured in the Arrowverse crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths”, establishing Stargirl as existing on a parallel Earth to the Arrowverse series.
Stargirl herself, is not a stranger to the CW. She has also appeared in live-action shows Smallville (Britt Irvin) and Legends of Tomorrow (Sarah Grey). This new Stargirl will be played by Brec Bassinger, which debuts on Monday, May 18th on DCU and the next day on the CW. It is scheduled for 13 episodes.
But when I added it to my Watch list it used to be a animated cover and it said animated under Genres: until just recently. This is why I asked the question. Wasnt this supposed to be animated.
Good question. One important thing to keep in mind is that all of our Program details comes from outside sources: IMDb mostly for Movies and TV Maze for TV Shows. Every time their information updates, it automatically downloads to Primewire shortly thereafter. This will affect everything seen here, including Posters, synopsis, and even episode listings.
The only things Primewire controls are the Host Links to those Programs.
For a more thorough understanding of how Primewire works, please see the instructional guide Navigating Primewire.
this show is a weekly comical trainwreck with massive amounts of face palms / wtf ?? and shaking my head in disbelief moments as the (star) girl superhuman blunders her way around doing some of the dumbest stuff ever -yet every week i am drawn/sucked into it to see what stupid stuff ( that no normal person would do in a lifetime ) she does this week -and the underlying story has its moments of interest -and i the fool will keep watching
First episode got me…i was like yess another good superhero serie.
But after that it’s been slow…so very slow. Like a very long tedious movie…and your wondering when will it pick up again!
Maybe episode 6.
episode 1 interest peaked —episode 2 yeah nah pass
Season 2 of Stargirl returns Tuesday, August 10th, 2021.
Man, this show is killing fools off like every week.
I dont care what pepole say but the series is good for now
I dont know how much more I can take of this character. I keep having too many face palm issues watching. Geez kiddos smh
I can’t wait to see how they will muck this one up. How much worse will it be than Supergirl and Batwoman? Lmao.
So are you saying you want it to be bad? Have a problem with female lead superhero shows?
No, I have a problem with the CW. Theirs are the only shows I mentioned after all.
I have a feeling this show will turn out like the other CW DC shows as well as Riverdale. This season only has 7 episodes which will mean most of the writing will start and stop here. After this season it will pick up another and be given the 18-20 episode seasons which will thin out the potential it had. Sad really
If this show somehow(It won’t) is given a plot focused treatment then this will become the CW’s best show. But we’ll see
Season 1 is 16 episodes not 7.
Yea they posted it at 7 episodes a month ago.
what?
Thanks, I was looking forward to a animated version more then a live action. IMO the animation department over at DC does a infinity better job at story telling than anything the live action department does.
if you have watched the arrow universe and crisis there is only one universe now and only one earth,so she may join up with others , and for a pilot it was ok, nothing great but it has potential.
Actually if you watch all the way to the end of Crisis you learn there is more than one Earth but only one prime Earth that is where Supergirl now resides at after they redid the Universe and the changes of that version of Stargirl coming to the arrow verse is very slim. About a 2/10 chance of it happening.
For all we know, Stargirl could be happening in the past before Crisis, or Oliver Queen made it difficult for anyone to detect the multi-verse in order to protect it since he used Spector powers
