Going to give an updated review on this show as all the comments are from a year ago. I can honestly say that this is one of the best shows going at the moment and if you haven’t seen it yet then you’re missing out big time. Firstly, the acting is top notch and each character delivers in every scene, especially the lead character. Secondly, as expected from a show based off the writings of Bruce Lee, the action is kick ass and really well done. Lastly, the story is great with intertwining stories all being told from different perspectives but, at no point does it feel convoluted. 5/5
Totally agree! 5/5
Renewed for season 3
thank you for this heads up.
I really like it so far. A bit of a mixture of “Gangs of New York” and “Boardwalk Empire” set in late 1800´s S.F chinatown.

Every week I wait for a new episode of this show. One of my absolute favorite shows. Amazing fight scenes and incredible storyline. Based off of the writings of Bruce Lee. Please give this show a try. Chances are You won’t regret it!
So, they ended this. Shame. Another good one bites the dust…
Noooooooooo! smh But wait: Warrior won’t return for Season 4 on Max. TVLine reported Monday that the series has been canceled after three seasons. Deadline said Netflix has picked up the existing seasons in a non-exclusive deal.
Got more bad news, just now, depending on what you like. Was just now scrolling through some stuff, and was seeing some shows that were going to be cancelled in 2024 after a final season, and 2 of them are going to be Blue Bloods, and Lois and Clark. Both will get a final season and then that will be the end for them both. Yellowstone also got mentioned, but we already knew about that, as well as Young Sheldon. Gonna miss the first three, watched those, never watched that last one.
Nooooooo! Not Blue Bloods! 😭
😭
😆 We’ll live.
Hey, weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down!
unexpected season 3 out of the blue ? not gonna complain !
Just finished season 1, great acting and the fights scenes are on point, Looking forward to season 2.
Victimization surveys show that IF you’re attacked, resistance with a gun is the safest response, the least likely course of action to result in injury to the person being attacked.
So how do we explain the kind of result you’re referring to? Simple: your data source is reversing cause and effect and ignoring a selection bias.
The cause/effect issue is that if people who know they are unusually likely to be attacked (drug dealers, gang members, people who’ve received violent threats, people who work in especially dangerous areas…) tend to go out and obtain a gun for defense, then having obtained a gun will APPEAR to be associated with attack likelihood even though it actually makes the attacked person safer to have one.
The selection bias issue comes from how the stats were generated. In places where open carry is illegal or highly conspicuous and frowned upon (that is, most of the US) we tend to only DISCOVER that someone was carrying a gun BECAUSE that someone got shot or killed. If they hadn’t been shot or killed they would have been able to keep their gun concealed and leave the scene without being arrested or investigated so the fact of their having brought a gun to the scene wouldn’t be in the police report, hence wouldn’t make it into the sort of study you’re thinking of (which is based on aggregating police report statistics).
You do know this is a TV show, right? Lol
Can someone explain to me why they chose to use a Japanese actor for the role of a Chinese immigrant? Certainly there are excellent Chinese actors skilled in kungfu that could do this role. I’m not trying to make any racial issue out of it, but I cannot be the only one who can tell the difference between Asian people. To make a film or show more believable and get the audience more emotionally invested in the story, I think it is important to make the characters believable. I have the same issues with all the fake Germans, Russians, etc. that Hollywood uses instead of hiring native speakers. But that is another story.
truth is hollyweird has always been myopic where race is concerned. famously hiring Navajo extras to play Cheyenne in one movie, when the subtitles say kill the white man, what they are actually saying in Navajo not Cheyenne is just wave your spear and holler so this fool will be happy. it is considered a comedy on the res.
Maybe they were looking for a “type” and he filled the bill. But, I get what you’re saying. I’ve thought about it many times for many roles. What I find impressive, though, is the fact that Koji has performed on the stages of many of London’s theaters.
That’s impressive for sure. Again, I am just picky about authenticity. Making the characters more believable.
I get ya. What annoys me is using British actors for Russians.
Love the fight scenes in this one. Cool traditional styles and specialized weapons. Good real world strikes mixed with wire work that enhances but doesn’t completely suspend gravity. Nice mix.
I’m not sure what makes you think that Bruce Lee shared your view of the world. Just because he was a martial artist doesn’t mean he was scared of women or progress.
Seems like the word your looking for is “ignorant”, since that’s how you actually sound. If you did just a little bit of research you would see that The Warrioris based on a treatment that Lee prepareed in the early 70’s, He even spoke about it in an interview he gave 71’. And involves the Tong/gang wars that did take place during this time. I’m not sure what “Liberal Holyweird” stuff you even speak of as this mostly displays women as having very little influence compared to their male counterparts. And I can only think of one couple that lives what may be described as an alternate lifestyle, which would be far below the average, especially in San Fran, lol. Btw, it’s largely been speculated that the popular show Kung-Fu was actually based off the treatment that Lee had shopped around at the time. With the lead actor being replaced with a white dude, instead of it being Lee as intended, which is main reason given that it wasn’t made at the time.
How dare people aspire to a world where all are treated fairly and equally?! The nerve!
