Really great HBO Masonic-Gnostic Dust Bowl series that uses archetypes within the period story of bad vs. good. Totally swept under the rug. Hey… Clancy Brown, Amy Madigan, Toby Huss & Nick Stahl- not to mention old school fav Adrienne Barbeau.

Oh my gosh! This series is one of our favourites! You’ve already mentioned the cast, but the story is even better! Highly addictive!

Just saw your comment. I loved this series when it came out. i would rearrange things so I did not miss an episode. Excellent cast and story. Anyone who did not see this, it is an excellent two season watch.

This show is amazing. I discovered it through friends nearly a decade after it came out. Sad it only got 2 seasons but it made the best of those 2. Just incredible acting from a stellar cast w/equally incredible writing & production design.

This show was robbed of a third season IMO

it is a shame the show was so costly to make has it was brilliant. cant believe it has been 20yrs since it first aired. really enjoyed the show. there was another 4 seasons of the show planned with scripts for season 3 finished or partly finished. the producers wanted more than the $2m hbo were offering to get the show renewed, knauf said he didnt want to do a film to finish the story which i agree has the story is complex and would those 4 seasons to tell the entire story. liked how the powers need balance nick stahl’s character needing to take life to give life or heal someone, clancy brown has the bad guy was great casting. this show further cemented my love of original concepts. horror, mythology shows and films.
