All over the place and went nowhere. I wish it didn’t keep me interested because I regret every second I spent watching this cornucopia of pointlessness.

Is this show coming back for a 2nd season?
Myfanwy’s story has come to a close. According to TVLine, Starz has decided that there won’t be a second season of The Rook.
First episode was good enough to put it on my watch list.
This actually turning out to be a pretty decent series. First couple of episodes were a little slow, but it has since picked up nicely. I would have never have considered Emma Greenwell for this kind of role, but it’s turning out that she’s got the acting chops to keep the story interesting. Enough so that I look forward to the next episode. The whole cast is really quite good, actually. So far, it gets a strong 3.75/5 stars and a “recommended watch” from me!
I liked this, it seemed a bit slow in the beginning but I could actually feel the anxiety the main heroin was going through. Also sort of liked the whole blue pill red pill matrix thing with the keys.
Interesting first episode and seems binge-worthy. Here we go! =D
Oooh staring Emma Greenwell! I loved her in Shameless and The Path, no wonder she got a leading role. I will have to check this out!
Wheels within wheels, and you can’t trust your own side. Usually an interesting premise but here the plotting between various parties and infighting in the team just mangles the narrative and confuses the story. By the end of the season it’s still not clear which side will win, or what the mess in episode 1 was supposed to achieve. Too much grey to sort out the machinations and apply motivations. Dissatisfying.
The protagonist can’t get above the fray and so becomes a victim rather than a hero. The series differs from the book to a large degree through differing plot devices and red herrings.
If the Checquy is a typical example of British Intelligence, God help us all from the dysfunction.
very disappointing
