Great start to the new season. Interesting, mysterious characters played by a stellar cast, gorgeous locale & beautiful cinematograpy. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

One of the things I love about the scientific community is their willingness to share research free of charge. It highlights the need for, and benefits of, public spending for scientific research. The notion that capitalism alone drives innovation is garbage.

It’s not so much willingness to share, but presenting your research is your proof of whatever you’ve discovered created etc. because without showing your work it has no basis or proof to scientists, but that’s the whole point of science is to catalog and write down everything found on the course of discovery into all realms. It’s this discovery which is driven by wonder and curiosity that makes it so amazing because if you keep digging any direction their is just more and more horizons to be found in the outer world galaxies etc. and extreme small world quantum physics etc. It blows my mind how we exist in the middle of such infinity going on in every direction and science helps make what was impossible real as hell with the research/work as a way it can’t be denied. That is what humanity needs more of a direction of understanding so I agree with you being open and free allowing anyone to open their minds. I just wish their was more tik toks or whatever sharing badass science and bringing us up lol. ❤ 🌎

Although I’m happy to see Ryan Dorsey shirtless for a moment in they episode, they need to go back to their initial formula of Justin Hartley topless most of the time!! MORE Hartley dammit!!! LOL
Also, this episode was poorly written for a mid-season opener! Why tie up the main story arc so quick? How come we never got confirmation that the sister was actually one of the bodies buried behind the hospital? They just cut straight to the funeral?! What about the wife of The Teacher (I initially thought that it was a brainwashed Gina when I saw her on screen)? His 2 boys, have they been “discipled”? Are there other Disciples out there? Uhg!

Monetization is driving all of this. Monopolization of the monetization happens when they get rid of what they deem as “unfair competition” = anything free. Free sites don’t jump through hurdles to get clearances, etc, and that’s not compatible with their model.

I can count on one hand how many times I yelled out loud at a scene. I was cheering my fucking head off at the straight hood style beat down Stormfront got, that was fucking beautiful.

Far out, thanks for the tip, doll! I try to look for things to watch on internet archive, but much as I love them, I despise their search interface which makes browsing a drag. I’m having a hankering for some Peabody’s Improbable History and Fractured Fairytales right now!

Loved this episode, as always, but there was one bit that didn’t make a lot of sense to me (well, the whole show is fantasy, but you get my meaning!) How in the world did the kid turn on his mother so quickly??? Homelander and Stormfront only had a few minutes alone with him, and up ‘til now the kid seemed to have a sensible head on his shoulders. Homelander crooks his little finger and the kid is ready to give up his entire life…?

To be fair Homelander had planted a few seeds in this kids head in the few episodes prior this one which spanned over the course of a week or more so I guess we can assume those seeds took root.

Known for Starship Farragut & his Trek podcast on trek.fm, Paul Sieber also guests along with anime voice actor Vic Micnogna also from Starship Farragut as well as Kirk on Star Trek Continues. He can be seen on the bridge of The USS Eagle with BarBara, and he did some of the directing.
