One of my favorite shows of all time. Well worth it if you’re looking for something intelligent to watch.
Can someone explain to me why the doctor and Miles would play the Alamo over and over again? That was a bloody battle with muskets, swords and cannons. Not something you would want to re-enact while you are literally currently at war. It makes no sense. You’d have to be a psychopathic Klingon to enjoy that especially when you recently were involved in combat where you watched many of your fellow officers die brutally.
Sometimes it’s nice to fight a battle where the odds are stacked against you and there is no chance of winning, but in reality you have a stacked deck so you can experiment with the hopeless situation and perhaps learn something that will help if, God forbid, that hopeless situation manifests outside the holodeck. Miles is a soldier with a heart and a conscience through and through, and so is Bashir, in all the ways a doctor with a complicated past can be. It’s sort of a poetic nod to how excellent they’re both written, imo at least.
Never heard of this? I think this man is a fantastic actor in anything he does. Was it good?
It takes quite a bit to do dig it.. I get your reservations
it’s well worth it!
I didn’t watch it because I was told it was a lot of blood and gore. I just don’t like that sort of show. I couldn’t even get all the way through Braveheart. There was a movie in the 70s called Soldier Blue and it started out with soldiers riding into a Native American village and massacreing them. There was one scene about five minutes in where a soldier rode up to a small boy and shot him in the head. I, and about half the theater, got up and left.
After seeing the ending of this week’s episode, no one can say that John Oliver doesn’t put everything he has into his show…

I definitely expected better and more. Was not near what it could have been if someone had put some real money into the movie. “B” grade is giving this one more than it should get. The big names in here should feel let down. I was. 2/5
Vergogna to La. Will just nail LIBER OZ to the classrooms & they can look the other way.
Miranda Otto is a great actress. Very underrated. This looks interesting.
Debi Mazar and Miranda Otto are both amazing actors… Otto far from underrated, she is Eowyn in The Lord Of the Rings for heaven’s sakes, a 3 billion dollar grossing pop culture trilogy masterpiece that will be remembered for decades. Not many actors can say they were are part of something like that.
It comes across as though it is made for TV or its a low budget. The story is great, good actors, and the production was well done. But, special effects were kind of fakey and it is listed as a horror but it really isn’t a horror at all. I would say it’s more of a Sci-fi than horror. Good for a one-time watch.
Lampoon! Eat your heart out Lil’ Abner, Jethro & Jedd Clampett. Long version of Papa Gene’s Blues.
So sad it got cancelled. It was not perfect by any means, very much a product of its time, but still was fun and entertaining and gradually got much better. Definitely needed more time on air. And it featured wonderful John Cho as a leading man, need I say more?
Drop out shows are pretty good. If I wasn’t so poor I’d pay for the service.
Edit wasn’t meant to be a reply ah well.
Wasn’t expecting this kind of crime drama. Trying to find the words to describe it, supernatural, maybe, sci-fi, maybe, x-files, just a tiny bit. ITV has yet to green light a second series of Passenger, but given the open-ended finale, we reckon a return to Chadder Vale could well be on the cards. If a sequel is commissioned then we might be able to expect something on our screens at some point before the end of 2025.
Interesting premise, lovely array of characters (excluding the truly villainous ex), wonderful performances from the lead actors. Very charming and cozy.
I never watched GOT. I think I’m going to start with this, and then watch it.
Yes watch this 1st. It is a prelude of sorts to GOT, the most watched HBO series ever which is why this show and the ones to come are being created.
First time I ever watched GOT and I am on season 1 ep2 , and its great so far and is very well done
7 episodes total.

I’ve recently decided to concentrate on DDL; watched pretty much all of his movies and the diversity is just breathtaking. He’s just never the same.wow. One thing which jarred me in this movie is how outspoken they made Lincoln’s wife, Mary Todd appear having passionate discussions (and even giving a dressing down) with politicians I just don’t see historically how in that age of time a woman was able to speak that way to men.I understand that it is theatrical drama but I wish they would not put these things in movies just to please today’s viewers.I don’t mind a movie concentrating on men if it’s historically correct.Otherwise a lovely and rousing movie as well as being very educational.

one of the GOOD tv shows is back and well worth the wait. Renner is back after a long absence after the accident, after a year and a month or so has passed. Great to see Renner back and on his feet
the beginning of this movie says it all….. they have a sniper so my question is what the fk is he waiting for he could of taken them all out after the crash…..so yeah another stupid film
While this film is basically just the Saw films but on an even smaller budget this is still a really enjoyable film.
the lure of big money and fame( that goes these days for social media too I guess) sometimes outdoes what one can teach ones’s kid. movies are a great escape for some if home life is less than ideal.
You also have a lot of parents that will turn a blind eye, hoping to capitalize on their child. Myself, I’d never let a child of mine get involved in acting as a career. The dangers of that life are well documented. Fame and fortune almost always has a negative impact on developing minds. As an adult, they are free to do as they wish.
If you’ve not warned your children that there are predators in the world, you have failed as a parent, no matter what the situation is. Church, school, scouting, any job.

This and “Quiet on Set.The Dark Side of Kids Tv” should be watched by any aspiring young person wanting to go to Hollywood.

I fired this up to watch on a lazy Sunday, was just about to give up, when it grabbed me and then, I shut it down anyhow, so I can save it to watch with my teenage grandsons. I just know this is going to make us laugh out loud!!

Wow! That’s wicked cool! I watched a video on YouTube a couple days ago about cats, guy was actually pretty funny to listen to, clearly a cat guy, but he really knew his stuff, and had a lot of information about cats, along with some really great clips, but there was some interesting facts about a cats purr.
Seems like they have some different frequencies that they can purr at, and some can actually help people with their blood pressure, others can lure (for real!) people into petting them and paying attention to them. It hits a certain area in peoples brains that just attracts most people to them.
Also, when people bond well with their cats, the cat can become sensitive to their medical problems even before the people know they have them. The guy even gave several instances of it happening. One that I remember was a rescue cat, this lady took a cat home that was a stray that wasn’t doing too well, and her husband was cool with it, and he bonded to her. A couple years later, he was on her chest and was on one side, sniffing and pawing, and refused to leave.
Anyway, it was right after that she noticed that she had a small lump on her breast that she had not noticed, but the cat knew it was there, and she went to the doctor, and got it dealt with in time, before it could become a problem. Guess the cat paid her back for taking him in.
The coolness of cats can not be overstated!
That is indeed rather nifty. Cancer sniffing animals are a real thing! Sound therapy is also a real thing, which makes cats unique in that regard. Everything is a frequency, so any two things that are the same frequency will resonate with each other. Can always tell when the guitars are tuned well when they make the snare drum hum along. Going Om is a good documentary about sound and health. Always love going to sleep with my cats as it is a very peaceful experience to listen to them as I go into LaLaLand. Binaural sound is great.
Oh yeah, that was Oscar. Saw a report on that. Not a reaper cat, but certainly a guiding comfort cat that had a unique role. We had a cat that knew when epileptic seizures were going to happen, which was extremely good since it helped avoid head injuries, bad falls & so on when one was alone.
Princess Rhaenys Targaryen had a very opposite cat named after the primary dragon that conquered all of Westeros, Aegon’s dragon Balerion, known also as the Black Dread, who lived a long time. Her dad King Viserys claimed the dragon when she was little at the time she got the kitten, and she would pretend he was the famous dragon. Apparently, The Red Keep had a line of cats descended from him for hundreds of years.
