only watched the first episode so far,but this is actually really good if you are into forensics and science documentaries. Very in depth look at every aspect of why or how some new world disasters happened and i will download the rest right away (surprised they are all up already). It is also told without exaggerating things too much so it can be “dry” for some viewers…..

I couldn’t have enjoyed this myself without the dubs. It made all the difference! thanks to you both for the effort.

More Rex than I and maybe them hidden behind the curtains. Don’t get me wrong there is more inflection in the french version. But if you are ill,BAD EYE SIGHT,drunk, headache, or even the hiccups then yes the ENG dub is fine. I just thought the dubbed version would have been on the site sooner. I do lub me sum good Sci-Fi.

Who can remember Miami Vice from the 1980’s. Smart, sauve, intelligent stories.. This film is what happens when you take the buddy cop and add a total clown fest to an awful story. The wors movies I have seen for about 10 years.

They have the show on this site. Watch it here. https://www.primewire.li/tv/14505-miami-vice

one of the best football flicks ever made and stands beside Playmakers as possibly the realest inside look at the NFL. Their’s a reason those two weren’t graced with the rights to team names, they hit a little to close to home.

RobotAllah 1 points 3 months ago.

Legendary movie. Pacino, Jamie Foxx and James Woods are amazing in this. Even ex-nfl star Lawrence Taylor plays an amazing character. Has to be the best Football movie ever made.

I’m confused. Hasn’t SPN ended? Pretty sure I saw the last season. What’s this about Season 16?

prism 2 points 3 months ago.

SPN is finished there is no season 16 coming, they were referring to the cast of SPN going on to The Boys. replies in here get rather confusing at times don’t they? lol

The rare treat here is seeing so much emma fryer. She is often a more behind the scenes creative but she does a lot of small roles.
This is for me the only thing you get to see so much of her as a main and being comedy centric its a rare piece.

Ideal (2005)
pramwire 0 points 3 months ago.

I never could tell if this was brittains answer to Weeds or if Weeds was the US answer to Ideal.
It builds up a little slow i think but if you stick with it the endless colorful characters really build it up through its very strange seasonal evolution.
You get a good range of comedians from the local area in this ending with the later season including Janeane Garofalo.

Super binged it! I could almost swear id watched it before and somehow completely forgotten all about it. Like some kind of perfect viewing junkfood thats in and out too fast but in that sweet delicious ultra processed moment its pure bliss. Ben Crompton was the motivation to locate and try it out but im learning i quite enjoy seeing Bronagh Gallagher more and more.

Even when you think you are all cowboy’ed out for the year or maybe the decade they come back with another solid by the book portrayal that makes you lust for the rest of the chapters
I didn’t expect to enjoy it nearly as much as a did despite all the big names attached.

Cold Prey (2006)

Good and scary Norwegian movie. However, the description is all wrong -it was not 5 Norwegians, it was 6 and they did not go up into the mountains to snowboard - the movie has nothing to do with that. Instead, they went camping. Nobody broke a leg and they did not have to spend the night in the motel. I don’t know where that description came from, but it is totally wrong. The only thing that description got right is they were not alone. Subtitled in English and so good you don’t even realize you are reading anything. Enjoy!

Young Woman and the Sea (2024)
pramwire 1 points 3 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This felt like a story i wanted to see and i like daisy, yet watching her portray the real life woman who accomplished the feat at that time was too much of a stretch.
I of course began by learning if this was based on a book or true story then finding out about the real story first and once i realized the simple logistics of swimming the channel at that period without a wetsuit for warmth with daisys BMI i just couldn’t. I think i watched about until she aged into actual ridely and just quit it.
I mean sure its normal to upsell the beauty factor or whatever in most everything today but this was quite an upsell and not even to a body type i could picture being attached to the story.

To me it was far too problematic disney being the fuel for childrens imaginations balanced against thoughts of unrealistic body image portrayals seemed outright wrong to me more so than usual in this case.
They missed a big opportunity to have someone far less conventionally attractive and with a body like the real life woman to promote realistic diversity.
I don’t even consider myself a feminist ally mind you yet this seemed like a slap in the face. A british girl of that class with such immaculately straight teeth in that era before braces became fairly common or accessible?
Still thats the problem sometimes with getting older you can’t get into the magic without seeing the tricks.

Do yourself a favor enjoy the movie first THEN research the real woman afterwards. Or maybe don’t.

Stumptown (2019)
Piglet 2 points 3 months ago.

I did a binge watch on this series and I agree the soundtrack was awesome. Brought back memories when I was a radio dj in the 1980’s. And like you, sad that it wasn’t given another season. Now we’ll never know why her parents disappeared…….

greyfur 2 points 3 months ago.

Yeah, this was a great show, damn shame it didn’t get a chance for another season. Just one more good show that got the ax way too soon for no good reason. Seems to me that a lot of the people in control of these decisions only want more ‘reality shows’, but are adverse to any good show that might be something different from that that people might be interested in.

There have been a slew of shows that I’m sure that a few people could get on here and bring up that have got 1 or maybe 2 seasons that could have gone on for a good few more that got the ax for no real reason, that were well liked by a lot of people, but died an early death anyway. Just seems to me like ‘Hollywood’ is trying to cut it’s own throat, or maybe ‘die that death of a thousand cuts’, and they don’t even know it….

Such an enjoyable show i couldn’t come up with a fault if i was paid too. They might be there mind you but i am completely blind to them when the shows spell folds around you with its impeccable execution from its shoes to its hat.
Everything is right even the bits of mystery and unknowns or usual out of place things seem perfectly in place despite their own role.
Even the theme music sets the tone perfectly with each story.
Season 4 as a two parter was unique and at the same time each movie length episode itself has a continuous character timeline occurring along with it.
Its a clever blending of the classic detective paired with an intellectual or psychological profiler as this evolves into.
It really is largely driven by its rich character stories and continuity as well as the atmospheric period details perhaps more so than the more than competent mystery/ crime its wrapped around.
