It’s ok, sometimes absurdist and other times just absurd. It’s as if Yorgos Lanthimos was scribbling half-baked stories for a side project while he was filming Poor Things.

I felt like I was part of the experiment. The first 10 minutes was good before it just fell off of a cliff. It may have made a good short, I liked the idea. The acting and pacing was just bad. I spent most of the first half yelling at the screen that they should do something to help themselves. The big pharma message was tired, and the ending was meh.

Considerably better than expected - granted, expectations low given what M Night has done in recent years, stil. Great little thriller.

Not bad, however I was transfixed by Nicole’s new lifeless face! I swear if she were to get too close to an open flame it would melt (same goes for Isabelle’s face as well). And don’t get me started on Nicole’s cadaver wig! It looked like something the maid would use to Swiffer the furniture with! Altogether, I found this series made for a relaxing and enjoyable Sat. afternoon-early evening watch/binge - story/mystery unfolded really well. Really didn’t get to see much of Nantucket except downtown and ferry landing. The bar and jail/interrogation room were obviously studio sets. Also the establishing scenery shots were magnificent.

Dracula Untold (2014)
Birdsforme 5 points 2 months ago.

Of all the Dracula versions I have seen, this one is the most realistic. This story shows each circumstance and what motivated Vlad to make each decision along the way. In doing so it comes across as being much more believable without sacrificing the film’s entertainment value. And rather than watching a monster movie, I came away feeling i just watched a story of love and sacrifice.

Luke Evans is a fantastic Vlad.

I’m liking it. Rob and Liv still showing they have what it takes. Loved em in the 90s and still lovin em now. Four seasons running, guess people still enjoy their work. As time passes by we can’t always be on our top game, but at least we can get out there and keep trying the best we can. Really glad these great actors didn’t disappear, seeing them again brings back fond memories.

I don’t like documentary type movies, so this wasn’t fun for me and I’m not rating it because I think it would be unfair of me to rate it based on whether or not I liked the sub-genre. If you like these kind of movies then it would probably be good for you.

There were a pair of Caracals in MI where I live that kept escaping their wonderful enclosure. It was in a very populated neighborhood and near a school. People got very upset. The cats did fear the people more and tend to hide when they got out. I wish people would just stay away from the exotics all together. Most are clueless on ownership and the animals suffer. Hell just look at domestic cats and dogs, people are clueless on what basic care for an animal is.

The fact that many do not spay or neuter and allow unwanted feral is a good example. They say spay and neuter is inhumane, but starvation and incarceration to the point of literal “insanity” is not. A cage is not a solution. “Crates” should only be used in very careful and reasonable manner, not as a go-to. It’s entirely heart-sickening that my animal-living counterparts are so cavalier and disrespectful of life. Bring on the extinction point event and relieve humans of their “failed task”!

Awesome this is finally returning. I’ve enjoyed several re-watches simply due to the fact that the acting is so diamond-esque

Hi I’m curious:Why didn’t you like working there? It looks so idyllic (just for a summer).

Well, I enjoyed that; I watched for the blissful scenic vistas of Nantucket and the island was a character in itself.did a binge because I do like a Agatha Christie type setting. It was fairly good all in all.worth a watch.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
magically_delicious 0 points 2 months ago.

The full HD version is better, due to extremely high production costs. However, the immense CGI is unwarranted and negates acting prowess. Rebecca Hall is either very ill or likes to starve herself and it most assuredly distracting. Worth a one time “zero expectations “ watch.

Haha seriously entertaining, but this is a Docu-drama-comedy, not a documentary. It’s subjective and facts have been (quite cleverly) manipulated for the largest audience. Worth a watch!

Troy leave that crazy bi*ch. Her jealousy is so vile and toxic. If she’s that insecure then is only going to continue to spiral. She’s not going to let you co-parent without causing a riff between you and your child run, run fast and don’t stop. Then she’s saying I feel like I have to compromise, well that’s marriage you immature twit. I almost said the other word but I didn’t want to get too offensive

Apparently it’s ep 4 that is the wrong one. So, I can’t speak for others but I’m in limbo waiting for the right episode.

how guns are involved baffles me. like ideological masculinity and accessibility?
