Some pretty good acting, so much so that I decided to give what I already knew would be an idiotic storyline a chance. Seeing people comment and rate it 5 stars gave me hope. The acting wasn’t spectacular, the great acting was done by non-main characters. Acting 7.5/10 , Storyline 1/10. So I rate this 4.25 no not out of 5 but 4.25/10. Someone commented this was “the best gang crap thing” they’ve seen since the 90’s. Well take something like Menace to Society for example. He has a childhood that’s believable, his teenage years are believable, his early 20’s are believable and bang, he died how he lived and the way that most who live the life go out. In this it’s like they took some things that do happen and went completely off the rail with it. It’s like they talked to a handful of guys who did time or ran the streets and some of them said how certain people they know started politicing behind bars and turned 2 year sentences into 10+ years. However when a guy goes in for manslaughter, has to do less than 2 years and when all is said an done he’s running the Aryan Brotherhood. It wasn’t just the gang stuff either, they also had a P.O. who was seriously running full on investigations in which he had more power than the ATF, could hand out immunity, could authorize swat and other tactical teams to do operations targeting weapons deals that were made between parties across state lines. Like the FBI and ATF were like “you saved a girl from a chomo, we shall follow your lead. IDK now 4.25/10 sounds way too high. lmao.

This is really a touching “play” about the human condition and unmet needs. You also get to see Patrick Stewart command the tiniest of stages with a character he doesn’t play on tv.
I call these type of films plays, because they take place in one setting and the cast is limited. They also tend to center on a single theme and explore it with the audience. There are no spoon fed answers here or in ‘Death of a Salesman’.
If you’re in the mood for an adult drama about the human condition, then you’ll likely like this.
This is not an action film or comedy. If you don’t like plays, it’s probably not for you.
I wasn’t in the mood for something that required my attention; but the acting, screenplay and theme caught me. I ended up really invested in these people and their ceaseless longings.
Let me end with, “Everyone needs a hug.”

Wow, this is much more than shocking, it’s flipping a voyeur’s field day. It’s so traumatising that it should have an 18+ warning. It is absolutely horrific that this happened at all.
I really have to wonder that after the first one being diagnosed (Donald) if the parents developed a phobia and put some of their sons’ on medication when certain signs developed that could have been misconstrued as mental illness but was just the way some of the boys were lashing out. The medication used to treat it was very toxic to the brain back then. More so then as it is now and could cause symptoms to appear. Especially if the boys would take it and stop taking it. In other words I think there was some nature vs. nurture going on in this family. In any case it is such a tragic story.

The “Jack Tale” legends and stories like “Dark of The moon” and such are the best. Interesting take on HellBoy. May not be for everyone but Appalachian witches are scary as hell to me.

Don’t know if this is a hot take or not. But to me this would of been a lot better without all the legacy characters besides Beetlejuice of course. Too many things were going on. If jenna orgeta character was the main and only plot I think this would of been a lot better. More time for character development and an ending that didn’t feel rushed and pretty boring.

Up until this episode I’ve been wondering how they’d explain Picard seeing his Mother as an old woman on TNG (S01E06) when I knew she died when he was a child. Now it makes sense that it was so traumatic that he’d blocked it out and as he says “I would imagine her as an old woman and offering me tea” :’(

Oh man this is just horrible trash and copied so many parts from the previous movies. It’s like dipping your french fries back into the same oil used 2 year ago. Then trying to tell you its still the same type fries. Lets face it. Many of the actors also just don’t fit into it. Other than some of the special effects, I can only give it 1 star.

although this show is availible on many streaming sites… those sites did not have the rights to the music that was in the Original show’s airing. This is a huge huge loss and why I have a hard time re-watching the show on those services. I will be pirating it from now on. At least my music is still there. Worst part is I had all the seasons on DvD but I don’t even have a DvD player anymore. I think its pretty awful to strip the show (that did so well) of these classic rock songs. It completely changes the tone especially in season 1.
Of course, not every track is removed from the roster on Netflix or iTunes, but many of the show’s most important musical motifs (including “Carry On Wayward Son” and CCR’s “Bad Moon Rising”) are noticeably absent from pivotal series moments. “

I normally don’t like soaps and this was very soapy. But it grew on me with the first episode and the cast was exceptional. Kidman looked younger than when she was actually young. A cheer to her plastic surgeon. Complete in six episodes, it was a fun watch.

It was very controversial when it came out, but times were simpler then. No internet, no violent video games, no gangsta rap. People were shocked by violence in movies and on t.v. I still don’t like it, which is why I can’t watch true crime. Fictional stuff is not so bad, because it’s not real. Back then on TV, when people got shot, they didn’t even bleed. LOL Westerns were interesting.
