Lucifer season 5A dropped today (Friday August 21). There are an additional 8 episodes in season 5B which are scheduled to begin filming in October 2020 which would mean a release date summer 2021. It’s likely that filming of season 5B will be delayed due to covid. It was announced that a season 6 has been approved pending contracts.
Show was lighthearted, witty, and cute until they just had to introduce the Saint of Killers, I mean, the priest, into the mix. Nothing is worse or more dangerous than a fellow human who is sure he has a direct line to heaven, knows precisely God’s will and plan for you—-and damn you if you don’t agree with him. 😒 I’ve seen two eps. already and I’m not liking that priest at all….
I’ll have to watch the last episode of season 3 to remember where it left off.. Gonna binge 4 and then 5 in August. Great entertaining show..

Less censored? How so,have not seen anything. Is it going to get a bit darker, maybe a bit more like the Devil comes out, does some serious shit? Would be nice, they have always portrayed him as the nice guy, would really like to see Lucifer more as Lucifer…
Well I remember reading when it got picked up that some people involved in the show were excited because not being on network television means they have a lot more freedom. So I don’t know there could be more violence, sexual content etc…there is no telling what they meant by that specifically.
So more freedom=possibly more mature content. Who knows what that entails.
Let’s just wait & see.
No spoilers and all that!

Not even filmed yet - covid19 did them in. According to a comment up the page there won’t be any episodes until early 2021.
I really liked how they ended the show..
I know I am late to watching the show but I just finished the series and it was amazing! I loved it! One of my favorites for sure. So sad that It ended though. Even though the ending was a bit depressing, It didnt end on a major cliff hanger or anything. I recommend this show to others. :D

What happend to the Episodes 9-16 from Season 5??
Good question! Here’s what we know so far. As previously reported, Lucifer Season 5 was heavily impacted by the COVID pandemic. Part one, containing the first 8 episodes, was released in August 2020, with the remainder to be determined.
By February 28th,2021, it was revealed that Part 2 was nearly ready for release but won’t be coming to Netflix until at least April 2021.
Netflix Life braced us yesterday (March 24th), that April was also not going to be realized either, with a more realistic expectation of late Summer 2021.
On a more promising note, Netflix has already committed to giving Lucifer fans a Season 6, most likely to also rise in late 2022.
More news as it becomes available.
