I am VERY glad to see this series continue! The new dynamic is just as absorbing as before; with a great new couple of characters (although I do miss “Crate & Barrel” lol). Bosch has an excellent informal partnership with Honey Chandler, and I’m really glad the writers realized that giving her a meatier part in his world adds so much dimension to the cases he goes after.

I’m currently midway through episode 2. Worth the wait! And, as waits go, it wasn’t that terrible. It’s the same Bosch we know and love but even less rule-abiding because he’s no longer weighed down by a tin star.

Some news about a spin-off and maybe another one: It was confirmed earlier this year that Amazon would be developing a Jerry Edgar spin-off show, with Jamie Hector officially signed on to reprise his role. Not much is known about the upcoming series yet, other than it will see Detective Edgar being tapped up for an undercover FBI mission in Little Haiti, Miami. A second spinoff: Detective Renee Ballard hasn’t yet featured in the Bosch television universe, but Amazon has confirmed she will get her own spin-off series in the not-too-distant future. No casting details have been confirmed yet, and plot details are also sketchy at the moment. But it’s expected that the Renee Ballard series will be based on the books she appeared in. Follows Detective Renée Ballard, who is tasked with running the LAPD’s new cold case division—a poorly funded, all-volunteer unit with the largest case load in the city. Ballard approaches these frozen-in-time cases with empathy and determination. When she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations, she’ll lean on the assistance of her retired ally, Harry Bosch, to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life.

March 27th, which is next Thursday and I’m not ready for it to end on season 3! But alas, all good things must come to an end…..deep sad sigh goes here.

Dang! It will be a long wait…..Bosch: Legacy season 2’s release date is anticipated for September-November 2023. The second season of Bosch: Legacy is expected to drop during fall 2023. With author Michael Connelly confirming via Twitter that filming had wrapped for season 2 in December 2022, a fall 2023 would make sense.

For those of you who are Titus Welliver fans, listen up, he’s going to be in a new movie…….Killing Castro assembles an impressive cast, including Al Pacino and Titus Welliver, for the upcoming thriller. The premise of Killing Castro will follow a rookie undercover FBI agent, as he’s sent to supervise Fidel Castro during a New York City trip where he’s supposed to give a speech at the United Nations. But when Malcolm X invites him to stay at the Hotel Theresa in Harlem after a rough reception in his original hotel, the young agent will be tasked with keeping his target safe from the CIA and the Italian mafia. Nothing could’ve prepared the agent for a mission of this magnitude, with the fate of two countries in the balance. The project will follow the steps necessary to keep both men safe during their first meeting

The third and final season of “Bosch: Legacy” will premiere on Prime Video on March 27. Deep sad sigh goes here……

Oh, WOW first 4 episodes have dropped. Thank goodness I’m on vacation next cause I can get caught up the new drama Bodies and Burning Girl and now Bosch Legacy

I had completely forgotten about this show, figured it wasn’t coming back but so glad to see it now! I have way too much on my watch list, and it’s hard to prioritize, but I’m putting them all aside for this!

Well, a bit of bad news for Welliver! CBS has opted not to move forward with the actor’s proposed spinoff of The Equalizer. But Welliver will appear in the series Ballard and his appearance might be increased after CBS pulled out of the spinoff.

Season 3 will start in March of 2025 but no exact day yet.

There will be a season 3, unfortunately, there is not yet an official release date for Season 3. Given that Season 1 debuted in May 2022 and Season 2 launched in October 2023, we will likely see Harry Bosch and co return to our screens in late 2024. Excitingly, it has recently been confirmed that filming wrapped in May 2024, making an end-of-year release date still possible.

One more month to wait for season 2. Here is some news about season 3…..Bosch: Legacy has not been renewed for a third season. However, viewers can expect it to arrive sometime in 2024. The reason for the 2024 release year is because of the yearly release pattern followed by the first two seasons, wherein the first season came out in May 2022 and the second is set to premiere in October 2023. On that note, however, fans could also see the season delayed to 2025 due to the ongoing strikes by the Writer’s Guild of America and members of SAG AFTRA and also because production on Bosch: Legacy Season 3 has likely not started and will only commence once the strikes have ended.
