Lupe is a young woman who is half white and half Chicana. Her father dumps her on Phyllis, her racist grandmother. She meets Manny. They make an instant connection. Manny goes to Lupe hoping to spend the night after fighting with his mother’s boyfriend. When Phyllis discovers Manny, a violent fight breaks out. Lupe chooses her grandmother. |
