A playful rumination on character, reality, time and relationships, Terrestrial focuses on an isolated caretaker who must prepare an art exhibition at an unused artist-in-residency program. Whether or not these grounds are haunted by an alluring female presence, or if a recurring nymph-like apparition is merely a figment of the caretaker’s unsettled imagination, is a matter of purposeful debate. Less a narrative work than an audiovisual experiment, this debut feature is not afraid to mix tones and rhythms to create a uniquely cinematic experience. |
