Just came back from watching Wonka on MAX & honestly, it was the silly movie I needed. Lots of fun & music with the cartoony expressions & character. I absolutely loved it! I was not expecting Timothée to do the best as Wonka, as his other roles are more serious, but he nailed it. He was enjoyable & funny. He still has a long way to go for such a role, but this is a great start. I highly recommend it if you wanna watch something goofy, silly & just pure fun :)
Yay! I hope you have as much fun as I did watching it <3
Language changes back and forth constantly, that loses major points, especially for the person that recorded and uploaded it… And then the advertisement for slotlights
Omg that slots ad does my head in….its so loud and annoying lol ! Thanks for letting us know about the language changing every so often…that solidified my PASSSSSS !!
Aaaw The last two minutes were the best! I think Jeremy Allen White looks more young like Gene Wilder. Timmy got pipes tho , dang! Come with me and you ll see , I mow my grass with puuuure imagination 🎶
Wonkavision!
got to admit it looks quite good, and casting Timothée Chalamet as the young Willy Wonka fits rather well if you’re a fan of the original movie with Gene Wilder.
I’m sure it does.

That’s it. Exiled to Siberia. Forced to live on the tundra that is melting revealing diseased reindeer.
Shun the non-believer!!!
Hugh Grant as an Oompa Loompa!! Best.Casting.Ever.
Just okay.
The best parts were little moments here and there. Sadly too few to make this movie memorable.
I loved it. I think Gene Wilder would approve.
I teared up a couple times.
Not only is it a good origin story, it pays tribute to the tone of the original characters and and author.
I highly recommend.
oh that looks like fun! 😀
Timothy Chalamet as Wonka? COUNT ME IN!
No doubt it is going to be epic! Just curious but why did you give it a rating before its even been released?
Ha! I knew it. I thought about doing the same thing! <3
Ummm ,,,,its in Spanish lol
It permanently changes to English around the 13-minute mark.
I really enjoyed it. So many nods in here to the original. I’m so glad they did a prequel and not another remake. The magical musical movie nostalgia, I didn’t know I needed.
Absolutely the best origin story! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The easter eggs in this that gave homage to the 1971 original movie were spectacular. The casting choice for Willy Wonka had me wondering if he was actually a direct descendant of Gene Wilder, who originated the role. 2 thumbs up from me.
So I seen this in theaters… and I wish I waited for it here. The magic that the original film still can’t be bottled for the newer films. The film in itself was ok. But it is still not the greatest. As for the Oompa Loompa…. man oh man. Same damn mistake they made on the Depp led film. Just hire dwarfs. It’s hard enough for them to find roles in Hollywood… then when a role was made for them, they are not even considered for the role and instead it is CGI trash. I was disappointed to say the least.
Chalamet is an amazing actor & doesn’t seem to over act the part like JD did. Gene Wilder was perfection and the little lad who won the golden ticket, warmed our hearts because he got to venture out of his poor realm into a magical world of temptation. In the end , he found nothing as sweet as the love he had at home with his family…Do we give a shite as to how Wonka started up the factory? I dont.:P
Watching the trailer makes me looong for Gene Wilder. He embodied Willy Wonka. I hope Timothy Chalamet can fill the shoes that are set out for him. Willy Wonka is a bit mad-cap, after all!
He did.
I’m afraid to watch it, given it’s not a Roald Dahl novel or influence. I’d absolutely love to see Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator made into a film. I adore all of his books, especially as a child, I found great comfort in them due to a very rough upbringing.
This is probably a movie a lot of ppl will like but im affraid whatever i say will get deleted if i say i dont like it or why i might not like it (not that i dont)…im just saying.
dont be ascared….
i knew YOU would understand ❤️
Are we gonna get links with JUST English?? I’d love to understand what is going on in the movie!!
And enough with the slotlights crap!
I really liked this movie, Great songs and Great acting. Fun for the whole family.
It’s not released until December.
Nope, didn’t do it. The use of Hugh Grant as an Umpa Loompa was not just absurd, but insulting to people like Peter Dinklage. What a catastrophe. This was not up to par on any level. Blech.
