Really good movie and about time we got something to watch like this crime drama. Intense and I did not expect that kind of ending. Enjoy!
the scene where the two meet up on the road was filmed down the road from my house. they had the road closed for 3 days between 8 am and 6 pm for the shoot. And, no, I didnt see any of it…lol

Somewhat unsatisfactory and a tad confusing, although pretty realistic and greatly interpreted by Washington and especially Leto, who really stands out as a character. ★★★½☆☆

loved it! another great Denzel performance. this is as great as fences. I like the story telling not your usual movie arc.
Not bad but not that good neither. Felt like they scrambled the story a bit. Seems like its a long lost script from the early 90’s that they scrapped and had to digg out due to the pendamic. lots of inconsistencies in the story that it doesn’t matter to event look for them. The acting is kind of silly. But all and all, good time waste specially these days.

Great acting , denzel brilliant as always , leto and malek very good but apart from that a bit of a let down , never realy delivers , shame , so much promise but in the end rather forgettable
there are some scenes that are reminiscent of Silence of the lambs and Se7en and I’m only 10 mins in. I don’t know, I was expecting better
I’m watching Se7en again and yes, The Little Things is a lot like Se7en and Se7en is much better. I’d much rather look at a young Brad Pitt than Rami Malek. Brad could eat crackers in my bed anytime…even now he’s still some nice eye candy!

denzel is like cheese he gets better and better over time (cept the equalizer he sucked at that ) wow what a great story line all that glitters is def not gold police work -very well written an great acting from the trios main stars -well worth watching again

Very interesting movie for sure!!! Personally I thought the ending was just lazy writing but apparently everybody loves VERY obvious plots that a 3 yr old could follow haha Still worth the watch tho, just don’t expect to much of a conclusion.
This is one of those crime movies that you may be keen to write off early simply because of the lackluster beginning. I urge you to keep with it and pay attention. Denzel’s movies almost always have a theme and this one really drives it home in the end. Mistakes. We are all fallible and we all make them, sometimes even with the most honorable of intentions. How we live with them and navigate (or manipulate) the consequences is the meat of the story here. It reminded me a lot of The Pledge with Nicholson. Malik and Leto did a good job but Denzel was GOLD. He is getting to that point in his acting career where his body language and expressions are now intrinsically part and parcel of EVERY character he plays, kind of like Wayne, Newman or Bogart. Amazing. 5/5
I completely agree! this wasn’t some simple scary serial killer slash er up.. This was MAGIC, Complex, methodical, and heartbreaking, in places. (the scene with his ex) I was enthralled, by every single actor in this, even the minor ones. There wasn’t a final climax, but a series of them, throughout the movie… There was an end, but was it really the guy? and what about those boots!? I have questions! lol So well done. The sound track/music was spot on, and lent such an eerie tone, like the show The Outsider.

WOW crazy twist. Never seen a twist like that before. Searching for a serial killer, and in the end left to search for themselves. The serial killer suspect, I loved his character, cool for cats, a guy who would be fun to hang out with, cause hes weird in a funny way ( long as he aint a killer lol )…..V
Thin plot, dumb ending…
Denzel may have performed well but the story in totality still missed the mark. It took me 3 tries to get through it. I actually was a bit disappointed when it was over but glad I finally finished. 3/5

What a piece of crap, promoting crooked cops breaking the law and acting like assholes towards fellow cops, themselves and others. This is NOT how you Serve and Protect. 2/10/. Movie was boring as well. Very little tension, plot was meh, story could have been more interesting with multiple story lines, many side characters didn’t even get introduced. What a waste of time. Denzel is really old!

Watching this a second time thanks to someone posting their comment today. I had forgotten the how it ended.
Now that I’ve paid more attention, I too am wondering if there’s ever going to be another showing the hunt for the actual killer. I saw Deacon planting the files and boots, but I can’t figure out the reason for it. Was it to frame the guy that was going to court?
I think Deacon was “paying it forward” with the cover-up to keep Baxter from following in his footsteps (years-long guilt trip, divorce, losing his nerve, etc.), risking Baxter losing his idyllic family life.
I did like how the flashback revealed everything. Great actors with a great script! Despite this being a recent release, it’s still definitely worth the re-watch. Might even go back for a 3rd watch since I can’t figure out the intended effect of planting the files/boots. Anyone?
