Recently released from prison with little familial support, money or resources, the film explores and interweaves their journeys of survival and reintegration into “outside life” and their desire to make a living through the arts. “Released” will capture the essence of their journeys from a negative past to a positive future, highlighting their desire for peace, sobriety and stability in an often hostile northern society.
