“Released” is a story of redemption, second chances and the healing power of arts. This short documentary film delves into the lives of First Nations Traditional Artists. Recently released from prison with little familial support, money or resources, the film explores and interweaves their journeys of survival and reintegration into “outside life” and their desire to make a living through the arts. “Released” will capture the essence of their journeys from a negative past to a positive future, highlighting their desire for peace, sobriety and stability in an often hostile northern society. |
