yes that’s the order you should watch them in.
The order is correct, but confusing. The pilot episode of Firefly has the same name as the movie. Serenity (Parts 1 & 2) from the Firefly series should be watched first; Serenity (the movie) should be watched last.
Episodes 11, 12, and 13 were not aired until the Sci-fi Channel brought the series to the United Kingdom, where they aired all 14 episodes in the correct sequence.
I’ve been reading about this for the past couple of years, ever since Disney acquired the various Fox properties, so I don’t know how any of this will play out, but honestly, I wouldn’t want Fox anywhere near a Firefly reboot. They screwed up with Firefly when they had the series initially. As you said, they didn’t show the last 3 episodes. Even worse, they panicked when Joss Whedon previewed the pilot episode for the executives and made him make changes to the series. They thought the pilot was too dark and wanted Mal to have more of a sense of humor. Then they proceed to skip over the pilot episode, with the first episode shown on TV being The Train Job, didn’t promote the series, allowed baseball to keep pre-empting the series, announced in mid-December that the series was cancelled, and THEN showed the pilot episode (Serenity, Parts 1 and 2) right before Christmas before completely removing the series from TV, skipping the last 3 episodes altogether. I really don’t know why Joss would want to have anything to do with Fox.
Yeah, unless Whedon was on board it would not appeal to me. There would be no Wash or Shepherd Book. Kaylees probably started her own salvage co. Zoe has her own ship. Mal owns an organic veggie farm. Inara runs her own legal brothel. Jayne became a merc and the Tam’s are on the run again. Still, one can dream.
We have heard this before. And this would be awesome, but what is the date of this story?

I don’t trust Fox talking about Firefly. Many stories in the past - All False.
It would have to be a new show with new actors taking place after the movie.
Right, I luckily had this super cool/nerdy couple that lived in my apartments back in the day that turned me onto this and were obsessed so they broke it down so strictly that I rented it all from the library and binged in correct order and fell in love. They were so cool, their apartment looked like you were in a spaceship/future (and they were, super hot, bi-racial future people, but still geeky before it was cool *circa 2006) Always love couples that inspire you to love and grow. I really miss them lol ✨ 🪐 Up tha Firefly ♥ ! 🌃
The only problem I ever had with this show was there wasn’t enough of it..
An instant cult classic, and the follow up movie serenity finalizes everything.A must watch to me.

this show could have been on the same level of success as SG 1 if they just let it keep going…..at least i have the consolation of hoping that the network executive who cancelled this fantastic series is in hell receiving a weekly pineapple suppository
