8 episodes is a good weekend binge if you dig costume pieces and or Jodie Comer, who’s known for Free Guy, The Last Duel & other stuff. Also has Amy Manson from The Nevers as well as Joanne Whalley from Scandal, etc.
A slow, kinda dull start, but once you stick with it, it does picks up. It turned out to be pretty good. Not as good as The White Queen if you compare it, but it is good. I do strongly suggest you watch The White Queen BEFORE watching this and The Spanish Princess is a MUST watch after.
I should have read reviews before I left mine. We’re in agreement about giving the order advice. (: The First time I watched White Princess, I didn’t know about WQ. And while I loved it, it made so much more sense after watching the first limited series. (It had been a long time since I had learned or recalled anything about pre-Henry the VIII England.)
Not being from England, the only things I know of the ‘olden days’ are from TV/Movies/Books. I have no clue how accurate any of these stories are, but they are very interesting and enjoyable.
This entire series is one of the better historical dramas I have watched. Suggest The White Queen first, The White Princess. and finally The Spanish Princess. I also recommend Philippa Gregory’s series of well researched and written historical novels the show are based on.
I couldn’t get past 20 mins. It’s so poorly written compared to The White Queen.
