was good, an ok cross between antonioni and wes anderson with a bit of sociopathy, a little detective story. actually it made me kinda stressed especially the first 6 episodes. also a dark slow humour. nice shots of italy. it was pretty much just a long movie in that it had good continuity and had acts..

Great idea! I don’t remember that detail in the description, about the dad hiring Ripley, being in the movie.
Sigh! There goes my To Do list!

Edit: Just read the movie’s description…I guess I missed that detail!

WOW! That was a incredible series. The photography was beautiful. I love all the stairs, the artwork, comparing the scenes. I really want to blab the ending, but of course. Watch this show!

Adore Andrew Scott & have loved everything I’ve seen him in so far since they’ve been top shelf like the amazing show Fleabag, incredible film All Of Us Strangers & now this amazing show. Scott delivers quite an understated performance that is very nuanced & fascinating so far. The black & white cinematography & soundtrack lend an air of mystery & foreboding to it all. The rest of the cast is excellent as well. I look forward to enjoying the rest of the series.

Very well done. The black and white really worked great. It had the same constant tension of certain Hitchcock films. Excellent cast. 5/5✨ It’s nice to see a real quality production. Wayyyyy better than Matt Damon’s version.

John Malkovich has a ‘hat tipping’ cameo role ~ And Sting’s daughter, Eliot, plays an interesting version of the Freddie Miles character. The most recent documentary about Highsmith > is a must see, imho…
