Series is very well done. Sopfia V. is fantastic, her skilled craft allows her to utilise mannerisms and vocal quirks to tranform into Gabriella Blanco. I was Looking forward to this one after seeing the Cocaine Cowboys Docos back in the day.
My goodness, Sofía Vergara portraying a “bitch” seems out of character for her.

im confused by your comment… the role she is playing is based on the life of the women who built a drug empire and took on the men/cartels…in a nutshell this is based on her life story….Griselda Blanco actually existed and this series is based on her life…. so Sofia can only play her as she was in real life
My comment is, Sofia Vergara the actress usually gets nice people roles. Not roles based on sadistic drug Lords.And I was excited to see her in this kind of role.
I found out about the unreal true story of Griselda Blanco while watching Cocaine Cowboys Documentries 1 and 2 when they came out in 2006 and 2008

This is filmatically good, and our dear Griselda is cool as f**k, BUT the script is a bit weak and she say somethings like she have not thought things trough really. It’s in odds with her intelligence. Tadaa! It is like the story progress around 3-5% too fast just to save time?. I get a feeling that the producers did not really believe the series because it is built round a female.
My hope is that the series do good and grow in confidence to become an other “SNOW FALL”.
Im a sucker for powerful woman. But not soulless stupid ones..
Give the god damn Lady some worthy lines and stop save on the writers is my advice.

Agreed Jirido. The script was weak and they sped up the movie and forgot the backbones of the womans life. Watch Cocaine Godmother, it gives a truer depth to Griselda.

Sofia was very impressive in her role as Griselda. It was obvious that she gave it her all. But in my opinion, Katherine Zeta Jone played the better Griselda in Cocaine GodMother https://www.primewire.li/movie/90684-cocaine-godmother. There was back story to truly understand why the woman was so hard and ruthless. The fact that she was bisexual and the weakness she had for women and …The love she had for her boys and the commitments she made for weak men in her life that forever let her down. I adore this miniseries and Catherine was Captivating and so sexy , when it was called for.
