An account of love and separation, of lover versus loved one, of amorous longing and melancholy acceptance, of daily minutiae and unexpected magic, of changes in people and places, of things passing and things found. Hannah, a young wannabe photographer, calls Misha, her unemployed boyfriend, to come out to Coney Island at the end of the fall with the intention of leaving him. As their day slowly disintegrates with Hannah unable to come to a decisive action and Misha pretending to be oblivious, a local ‘Looney’ inserts himself into their situation, turning it and the film upside down. |
