Denial (2012)

‘Denial’ is a short, 11-minute, mystery-narrative film that includes a limited color palette of dark muted autumn tones. Recorded on full-HD DSLRs, this film is primarily driven by its static visuals and subtle soundtrack. The film itself follows the characters of Laura and James as they journey to Laura’s family home after a tragic event involving her sister, Marlene, has taken place. Laura is in a constant state of shock, never truly coming to terms with the whereabouts of her sister until a dramatic realization, which comes to her in the form of a vivid dream.
