This is a fantastic movie! Loads of dark humor, wasn’t sure when to laugh, or when to take it seriously. lol happy with the ending but it was predictable, not so much the details of it, but the general conclusion was, though despite that I was glad it turned out that way. It was definitely worth the watch and entertained me all throughout. :) 5/5
As someone with mental health issues, a lot of movies concerning mental health tend to make me cringe with how inaccurate they are. This movie nailed it. Bradley Cooper nailed it. And Jennifer Lawrence really fucking nailed it. The way this film portrayed the psyche of a crazy ass nuclear family was beyond brilliant. How the film coaxes the viewer to relate to the isolative nature of mental illness never feels forced. It never feels like somewhere you don’t want to be. I don’t give such high praise lightly but this is a near-perfect movie. For those of you worried this is a chick flick - it’s not. It’s not a love story, but it’s notNOT a love story. Just watch it.
Loved it. All the little innuendoes… There’s no such thing as normal, and it would be boring if there were. Nice on-screen chemistry between Cooper and Lawrence.
This is such a gem of a movie. It reminds me of a Breakfast Club style movie. A movie for the misfits and f ups. The world isn’t perfect, you just have to look for that silver lining. This movie always makes me happy after I’m done with it. 9/10
