A beautiful movie. The cinematography was stunning. The acting was over the top but just right for the script. Tobey Maguire was terrific. For me, he definitely carried the plot forward. I don’t know why it took me so long to see this.
An enjoyable watch. I would have given it a 5/5 but I had issues with the sound track. I honestly don’t believe they had rap or anything similar to it in the 1920’s. And for me the wrong era of music just messed up the picture. That being said it is still well worth the watch.
Very surprised to see how well it correlated with the book.
