Another “Flicker Flashback” short (the sixth of the 1946-47 production season) in which footage from really, really old silent films is shown, and basically made fun of and burlesqued. The victim this time is a 1914 film, “The Violinist”,in which a girl (Carol Holloway) dies while the man she loves plays her favorite tune on a violin. The original film was pure mellerdrammer. Used here for comedy. |
