Percy Prettyboy’s father arranges for his son to become a soldier. Being a milk-and-water youth, naturally his companions have good sport at his expense. His parents being thoughtful of Percy’s welfare, send him good things to eat, but as Percy gives his gun to his father, the captain comes up and arrests Percy for neglect of duty. The parents then take delicacies to Percy in prison, but the guard manages to get them. After finishing his confinement, he has to join the company in maneuvers, but he gives up and papa transports him home in a wheelbarrow. Ultimately he is expelled from the service. |
